Lovely food and staff are polite. The afternoon tea is amazing you get so much food and great value for money. Great place to go on a hot day you can eat then go for a lovely walk and get an ice cream.

Does not look much from the outside ....and can get very busy ! though you can book a table .... very varied menu with a decent list of specials on the blackboard Not fancy dining , but good fresh food , large potions , good selection of modest priced deserts too :)

Lunch of pea and ham soup with warm fresh rolls....delicious. Very satisfying on a cold November day and price very reasonable. Will definitely eat there again next time we visit the Lake District.
