I visited here with my husband for our honeymoon we used a wowcher code for a cheaper meal and was abit horrified at the prices we would of had to pay. I found it difficult to choose something I liked from the menu. However after...More

Visited here and like the restaurant vibe, the way the waitress/waiters dress with the white shirt, tie and apron, the meal was really nice too and the service was spot on. Credit to the the establishment... Would gladly recommend

We were a large group dining here and it was just so disappointing. Some of our group tried the Sunday roast and they seemed to enjoy it, but for those not ordering that, it was really expensive and the meals were not good. Service was...More

I got a voucher from Groupon to go for afternoon tea and it was lovely. It hasn't got me rushing to go back everything was nice but no wow factor.

This is a nice little place for a meal. The staff were attentive without being too intrusive. The food was presentable. Not too much to overfill your plate and not nouvelle. It is not fine dining not is it a greasy spoon, so all in...More

We’re proper cooks, serving real British food, cooked properly. We don’t mess around with our food. We cook it simply, without flashy sauces, so the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. The ingredients that go into our kitchen come from local farms and suppliers, some of whom we’ve known for years, like Joe Simpson of Cockfield, who rears, slaughters and butchers his own beef, Ian Alexander of Raby Estates with his fantastic venison and Carol Peacock from Sedgefield who makes world-beating blue cheese. Our veg comes from the local markets and our recipes are based on real British dishes with heritage.
