On arrival, guided to our table. Restaurant had a nice...ambiance, appeared clean and offered drinks / water for the table in a timely manner.
We ordered food in a timely manner, asked how we like our steak cooked with no issues.
The food came out in a respectable time.
We got the sharing board and asked for all the steak medium apart from the fillet to be medium rare. With it being a steakhouse I had high expectations and I feel as though it fell way below standards. Considering the steak is meant to be star of the show this was the most disappointing part. The sirloin was extremely over-cooked and resembled something from a BBQ in the garden. The fillet and flat iron were tasty and cooked well but again the ribeye was burnt to the point we actually complained in the restaurant. The waitress apologised and this was re-cooked. When the ribeye came out for the second time it was extremely tasty, juicy and cooked to our liking.
The sides - onion rings, chips, mushrooms and brisket hash browns were outstanding.
When they came for payment, we handed over the voucher and I said that I did not want to pay the optional service charge after our visit / issues and the waitress said she had already removed this after the complaint we had.
Once I got home, I checked the bill and in actual fact the optional service charge was still on the bill.
Overall, I was hugely disappointed in the food and if it weren’t the voucher taking almost 50% of the bill I would begrudge paying the bill.
Apart from re-cooking the ribeye steak there was nothing complementary offered as way to rectify and acknowledge the issues raised.More
