Went here for a works Christmas party, great night, food cheap and average but no complaints, been since with other friends and family, great value for money, It can be noisy at night with a party atmosphere, staff are mostly friendly, There is a car park but it gets full quickly so parking can be a problem.

Having a guest staying with us for a week we decided to "try" Durham Sambuca and were not disappointed. At 7.30 on Saturday night (14.3.15) we arrived at a very busy scene with music and happy chatter giving the whole night a party atmosphere.Service was quick. food excellent with portions being very generous and exceptional value for money. The only... More

Have heard so much about this place, I really thought I must give it a try for myself to see what all the fuss is about. Love the interior, and found it to be much bigger than I expected, with plenty of quirkiness to catch my eye, so all good decor wise. Must have gone on the busiest, and noisiest... More

On that occasion we chose Sambuca exactly because I'd heard there is a live music entertainment on Saturdays (and apparently some Fridays too) so we wanted to check it out - and it was even better than expected! The singer was brilliant, starting with soul and jazz ballads that he was slowly developing into more and more dancing type of... More

We booked a table for a large group of us for a baby shower on a Saturday afternoon and when our party arrived we made it clear we needed space for one high chair and on push chair at the table. When we were shown to our table there wasn't even enough seats for the number of people we had... More

Visited here on a Thursday night, as a party of 10. Service was good and efficient. Got a few garlic breads to share as a starter and everyone's meals were ok. Food was hot and tasty, considering cost per head it wasn't bad at all.

Food was good , they have some excellent cheap deals on if this is what you want. The service is a bit chaotic and the whole place is very noisy. We went on a Saturday tea time and there was a local dance school in singing , it was a bit like a huge kids party, had we been advised... More

After recommendations from friends decided to go for lunch on Saturday. We didn't have a booking so were expecting to wait how ever were not very impressed with the attitude of the greeter who obviously thought turning up without booking was a crime. We should have walked out then really. After a 15 minute wait which we did not mind... More
