Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food was really good, just had a feel of the bar staff not wanting you to be there. Strange vibe, maybe due to the Saturday rush but the Newton Faulkner lad behind the bar just didn't want us anywhere near it seems. Not a friendly...place.More

Whilst arranging a long weekend in Durham, I “blind”-booked a table at the Bridge, based upon the online menu and upon the fact that we wanted a pub restaurant, rather than fine dining. We were definitely not disappointed! The food was lovely, the atmosphere was...great and the customer service was superb. Staff were so friendly and attentive and went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect. All the staff had a smile and a cheery word, which made us feel really at home. I can’t recommend this lovely pub/restaurant highly enough - fabulous!More

Called in on Saturday 7th August mistakenly thinking it would be quieter than the main city, boy we were wrong, standing room only. Lots of people on the lower level dining, the bar area was full due to the rugby being on, there wasn’t much...of a wait for drinks the place had a great vibe & it was lovely to hear the buzz & watch people enjoy themselves again without the need for face masks or social distancing, long may it continue!More

Sunday roast was amazing, if we didn't live so far away, we'd be in there on a regular basis. Staff made us very welcome too. Looks like there is plenty of choice on the menu if you aren't in on Sunday. Although we didn't win...(not a shock), the quiz was fun on Sunday night tooMore
