Called in here by chance this afternoon as this restaurant is right next to Durham Cathedral, we ordered from a lunchtime menu at a reasonable £9.95 and had Tabbouleh to start and a Chicken Shawarma wrap, both very nice indeed, the fact that the restaurant was quite busy is a testament to how nice it is. I'll definitely return here... More

First time i have hd lebaenese food and ive eaten around the world trying many cultural foods and I found this to be the most tasteless food ever ? To be honest a £2 ping ding micro indian has far more taste than this , and they are not scared with their prices in my eyes very expensive for what... More

Have eaten here several times now and honestly it has never disappointed. The food is excellent and extraordinarily good value...approach your ordering with restraint: portions are generous; the service is impeccable, being charming and efficient and the restaurant just oozes with a comfortable and welcoming ambience. Small niggle ...the Middle Eastern coffee could be stronger. I would recommend booking; this... More

We often go to the Lebanese restaurants in Newcastle but this is definitely the best we have found. Food was great, staff were very attentive and there was a real buzz in the restaurant. I had two quite picky eaters with me and they both absolutely loved their food. Would highly recommend

We spent two and a half days in Durham and were mainly looking for food typically good in England. Having got very good fish and chips the first night, we decided to try Lebaneat as we did not have Lebanese food at home. The good Tripadvisor reviews were very helpful. We went to lebaneat after having visited the University and... More

After reading many reviews for restaurants in Durham we decided to give this a try for a family lunch. Our party comprised of my in laws, both 85 (conservative and unadventurous eaters - won't touch spicy food), my twelve year old son, my wife and I (all three lacto-vegetarians). After reading other reviews on this app we opted to share... More

We stumbled across this restaurant in Durham and I think we were lucky to get in to this popular restaurant. I had a mixture of Lebanese starters, whilst my wife was extremely satisfied with her chicken livers. Between us we had chicken and lamb pieces with chips (the chicken was so moist). Then finished with Baklava and a huge bowl... More

Booked a table last minute, greeted at door showed to table ordered food , had platter starter which was lovely. Just finished last mouthful of food when plates disappeared from table , mains arrived shortly after which again were lovely but once again as soon as we were finished plates disappeared and asked about deserts, felt like we were in... Great buzzing atmosphere, friendly staff, an open kitchen and fabulous food. What more could you want? The starter and desert (knafeh) were both particularly good.
