My daughter and I lunch at this restaurant for a special treat. The food is delicious right from the walnut and sultana bread to the sweet selection. The lunch menu does vary and there is always plenty to choose from. The service is memorable, attentive, discrete and Is a large part of the restaurants charm. The decor is traditional and... More

Was really looking forward to my evening out here was told how special it was with a la carte menu. My hopes were dashed on seeing the starter which looked bland and tasted the same as it looked followed by my battered fish ( the batter was soggy) very disappointed I didn't bother with the sweet the whole experience was... We went with a group of 11 and we booked before hand and they fit us in well. The food was great would recommend the melon starter as it is very modern and unique, lots of parking and nice old school building.

An excellent evening. Warm greeting; a choice to two different free champagne cocktails; faultless 3 course meal £45 each. The food, as always, was delicious and perfectly cooked. The table was sprinkled with tiny hearts. My only criticism is the white lighting was too bright - lower lights and candles would have created the perfect atmosphere on such a romantic... More

We had a friendly welcome on arrival, and were seated in the bar area. Orders were taken for drinks and after a little while the food orders... More

Enjoyed another lovely evening here with my family - group of six. Food and service once again first class. Great Sunday menu with something to suit us all at great price. We just love the atmosphere and really feel like we have had a special night out. We will be back.

Had a meal here as two couples and found the service, atmosphere, and surroundings to be of a high standard. The meal was excellent and all four of us enjoyed it very much. Will definitely visit again.

We ate here last night and it was very good. Enjoyed the lamb for sure and the Franklin's soft drinks were outstanding.
