Very homely and welcoming place to eat. Have been many times and doesn't let me down. From coffee and cakes to the best pizzas I have tasted. Very reasonable and can sit and enjoy without feeling pressure to hurry.

I hadn't eaten at this place since the late 70s early 80s when it was a good cafe serving excellent lasagne. I read that they do Italian nights once a month so thought I'd check it out before making a booking. Turns out I was the dummy. There is nothing to advise you that you have to order at the... More

Looks like a sixties café/coffee shop with tiny wooden booths...a bit dowdy and old fashioned now but we were here for a quick tasty lunch and that's exactly what we got. Lovely bacon roll (with the bacon well done as requested), chicken panini and small pizza. Everything was fresh and hot. Orders placed at the counter (where the menu board... More

Service is pretty quick and the pizzas taste nice. Really good to get ice-cream to sit in or take away. Toilets aren't very clean but all in all a good restuaraunt/cafe.

Firstly, I walked in and before I could sit down I was asked what I was after. Felt like replying "Let me catch my breath". Female who took my order could try smiling I ordered and took a seat. I only ordered a bacon roll and a can of juice. I began to wonder if my roll had been forgotten.... More

Nice staff but call it "italian restaurant" it's a little exagerate. Very few dishes on the menu are italian and from italy they take just the inspiration but not the taste.

Lived in the town a few years ago and went regularly for great coffee when shopping. Often met friend for quick lunch so last time down there dropped by and think their macaroni cheese fabulous. It is actually cheesy, creamy and comforting. Friendly place and family friendly

Made a quick visit in here while waiting for a friend. Nice roll and sausage. Cafe is quite big with plenty of seats. Loads of options on the menu.

I remember a few years ago visiting this place almost every weekend with family and raving about how they cooked the best pizzas. I've visited half a dozen times in the last few months and find the more I go there, the less I like it. The pizza's have too much dough and very little filling. The dough is incredibly... More

Visited the Golden Grain in December with a large group of about 15. The staff at the Golden Grain were very welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate our large group considering we didn't pre book. The food was average, pizza was nice (extremely large!) , although all orders didn't arrive at same time. The food is well... More
