We have always enjoyed Logan's cooking. He mans the kitchen solo and his menus are thoughtful and sufficiently varied to suit all tastes. The narrow menu is a joy....you get fresh food freshly cooked. Scrumptious and interesting. The winner this time was the service which was efficient, friendly and happy. This is a great value, proper restaurant ideal for a... More

I had read about The Creel Restaurant before our trip to Dunbar and am pleased we managed to fit a lunch into our short break away. Lunch was delicious! We were greeted and waited upon with such happiness and help that it became quite an uplifting and fun experience! We simply wanted a light lunch but what we had (... More

Our Anniversary dinner was entrusted to Creel, and we were very glad we went there. Lovely simple unpretentious food, served with charm by Sally, and cooked to perfection. I am really sad that we can not be regulars at this place as we were on holiday, and strongly encourage them to return to South Wales where they are much needed!

We ate here after seeing previous reviews and and checking out the website and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and great value for money. The wine choices were varied and the bottle that we chose excellent. Its a very atmospheric bistro and cosy on a dark stormy night.

We visited the creel recently and were blown away by the food. The restaurant is small and oozes class, which is perfect as the standard of service and food is raised above the bar.So glad we managed to get a table on the day.#favourite place now 😍

We took our three friends for lunch at the Creel and they loved it! The fish soup is the best we have ever tasted. Each course has a delicate, light & fresh flavour. The Dunbar apple and creme anglaise was to die for!

As regular diners (not regularly enough for me) our latest visit was as rewarding as ever. I agree with the review which said no matter your companions, there's a mouth watering option for every taste. The steaks are a stand out and my wife, who is not a fishy person, loves the Creel's fish options. Highly recommended !

Went back (again!) with a friend and had a great time - again! The food is just perfect, no matter who I go with there's something for everyone, and the chef is always accommodating. Now I know they can do it, I've taken to ordering premium seafood like scallops in advance for something extra special. The staff are attentive, the... More

We discovered The Creel Restaurant several years ago. Recently, as usual,we made a point of breaking our journey there. Quietly situated, no distance from the busy A1, by the sleepy harbour we can stretch our weary legs and have a delicious lunch or dinner, having had an enjoyable discussion in the car guessing what might be on the menu as it...
