Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am finding it difficult to emphasise just how good this restaurant is. The distinct cuisine is quite frankly superb. The variety of flavours and textures is overwhelming. The only answer is to go and try it for yourselves. The restaurant also has a very...casual and friendly vibe with excellent, welcoming and attentive service. The wine list is short but entirely adequate and they have some fun cocktails. This is truly a wonderful place to go.More

This is top quality cooking and presentation. To start with the restaurant looks great and has a good atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. But what really grabs you about this place is the quality of the cooking. I had the fish of the day...- swordfish - which was some of the best fish I’ve ever had; my wife had an excellent steak. The small plates we had were very good too (particularly the duck gyoza). If I was going to quibble, which seems a bit harsh, I would say that rice or noodles might be a more appropriate accompaniment, for some of the dishes, than potatoes, but that shouldn’t detract from the overall experience. The restaurant is small; reservations are therefore essential.More

What an amazing culinary experience! Michelin inspectors get yourselves to this place! The food was creative and fresh with great service. Intimate setting and feel very special. These chefs need to be recognised on a wider platform as their Asian fusion small plates were so...good. We were amazed Ventnor could offer such a great culinary experience. Thank you and take a bow.👏🏻More

Love this restaurant - the staff are great and the food stunning. We had the 7 course tasting menu via a TPIW voucher which made the cost very reasonable for what you get. All the dishes were great but the Thai green curry was an...absolute stand out dish - true depth of flavours. Wine prices after on the high side with the cheapest being a bottle of Pinot Grigio at £27 (we had this and it was very pleasant) - but are in line with other restaurants of this calibre. Great dining experience thank you.More

This was the best, most interesting and best value meal we have had in a long time, and I include Smith's of Wapping and Sam's of Hammersmith. Cheaper than either of those august establishments, too! Cost £163 for two including a fine bottle of Touriga...Nacional. Friendly staff. Excellent service. Two points: 1) Nobody carries cash these days, so why not add a service charge? Nobody would refuse to pay it. 2) Two hours is not qute enough time for 3 courses plus coffee. We felt slightly rushed at the end, and the staff obviously a little stressed lest we impinge on the time of the next guests at our table. Otherwise this place is a real find. The steak (as they say) is "to die for". Presented this way, it is indeed "to be resurrected for"! Easter thought.........More

After a administration issue all was swiftly and generously sorted. The food is exceptional,, we had the 6 course tasting menu, where the food is decided by the kitchen. One of our party is a pescatarian and that was dealt with very well. Each course...that was served was a delight, full of innovation and tasted fantastic. The restaurant is not cheap but well worth the visit to experience the flavours. Staff were professional and friendly, describing each course to us. Do go, you will not be disappointedMore

A smaller than expected restaurant with only about 25 covers. There were 5 staff on with 3 working in the kitchen cooking from scratch. The casual vibe disguises the high quality of the food. Both my partner & I were very impressed by the food....Interesting, tasty, very well presented & satisfying. I had two starters & my partner a steak. We loved it all. The puddings are very often a let down, but, having had such good savory courses we went for it. Both were excellent. Mine in particular was so varied in favour, with ginger puree, a condensed milk icecream with a soy flavour, apple gyoza & a lovely pana cotta. Not a hint of over sweetness. Wonderful stuff. Seeing the chefs at work is interesting & the length of the wait is because they are actually cooking your food as you wait. Highly recommend this restaurant. Book ahead.More

Once again, Adam, Shane and the team surpassed themselves - this time with their five course tasting menu. Beef bon bons; a venison 'kebab'; extraordinary prawns; a Thai curry with seabass and scallop; and rounded off with a salted parfait with a marzipan doughnut and...sweet chilli sauce. Just magnificent and truly memorable. Thanks, guys xMore

Everything was so delicious I was shocked. We travelled from London for my husbands birthday and this was the last restaurant we went to before we left to get the ferry. I wish I visited sooner because I would’ve gone back again. We had the...crispy lamb belly, calamari on black garlic risotto and for the mains it was a special for that day. I think it was pork belly. It was a little pricey but worth it for the taste in my opinion. The sticky toffee pudding was very good too.More
