Tramezzini restaurant always feels like the safe place to eat any time of day considering the high quality excellent cooking flavors and dishes and the warm, friendly atmosphere. Since i come from Greece i was so excited that the restaurant is going to have a Greek night, looking forward to it. Having a great knowledge of greek cuisine made me doudtfull about whether the food is going to taste authentic in a foreign country. As soon as we arrived me and three other friends from Greece ( all great admirers of Greek cuisine) my doubts vanished. The friendly staff made us feel so warm and convenient (they even had greek music playing) and the first surprise was after ordering 2 bottles of great red wine the Chef himself came to our table to take the order just like traditonal restaurants do in Greece. We ordered the greek dinner of course which was pork skewers, mousaka, greek salad and tzatziki, all of them cooked in the proper greek way compined with Chef Adams inspiration and creativity. All the flavours and smells, the greek music and warm atmospher took me back to greece. I was surprised again by Chef 's Adams inspiration to add many aromatic herbs in the Greek salad, not just oregano, which is the proper way. The 3rd surprise was the dessert. Doughnuts with honey walnuts and vanilla ice cream called loukoumades. Honestly the best loukoumades i had in my entire life better than any i ever had in Greece. Better than the ones i make myself... We were 7 people 4 adults and 3 children. With the drinks the price came up to £30 per person. Awesome consindering the great quality and the unique and amazing expierience to enjoy the food of my homeland cooked by the hands of such an ispired and intuitive Chef. Feeling lucky living in Ventor so close to Tramezzini a cooking hostage for people who care a lot for what kind of food they are going to consume.

Ate at Tramezzini on a bitterly cold Saturday evening and used a pre-purchased Price Is Wight voucher for a 'Prosecco dinner', which was excellent value for money. The restaurant was bright, clean, busy and buzzing. The waitress was friendly, good humoured and offered us drinks and menus promptly. We were impressed with the menu and specials board and our meals were delicious. Altogether a very relaxing, enjoyable evening with friends and we will definitely return. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes a tasty change from pub grub. We'd call it food with finesse without being pretentious ! ; )

I visited Tramezzini with my family on New Years Eve. Met with a smiling welcome by the charismatic barman and restaurant manager, Chris and Madison, we were shown to our table and offered the New Year tasting menu. Concerned that my youngest wasn't quite ready for a few of the sophisticated courses on offer, I asked whether the chef would be happy to make something else. Within moments, the owner and talented chef, Adam Fendyke, came out to say hello and talk us through the tasting menu available that evening. He spoke to my youngest and asked him what his favourite dish was, then kindly said that he'd cook "just that". What followed was a wonderfully clever, flavour packed series of dishes. My favourite was the "deconstructed gin and tonic" which appeared by surprise between several of the other courses. The atmosphere in Tramezzini was warm, friendly and full of fun, giving a real sense of belonging and connectness to everyone who ate there that night. Well done Adam and the Tramezzini Team. I am looking forward to our next visit soon!

I've not visited Ventnor for a couple of years, so it was lovely to go back to Tramezzini today to indulge myself with a 'Tramezzini Breakfast'. Over the years since Adam and 'G' opened their doors to the public, this bijou diner always provides its customers with a warm welcome for around 24 covers. Never being a place to think that the status quo is quite good enough, the menu, interior décor and sevice has evolved and moved with the times. I was pleased to see that a Vegetarian Breakfast is featured on the menu, although I always like to go for the real deal! Breakfast can range from a warm croissant with a fruit preserve up to the fabulous Tramezzini Breakfast, showcasing two perfectly cooked poached eggs, fresh tomato, black pudding, a good quality sausage, with crispy Pancetta featuring to endorse the diner's original Italian heritage - Tramezzini being Italian for sandwich. The flash of Balsamic glaze is a great alternative to HP sauce! The coffee (I had a Flat White) is always outstanding, as was the iced OJ. Visiting early morning can see regulars and local traders alike popping in for a takeaway coffee or to sit in the comfortable surroundings with a daily paper and to take in the atmospheric playlist. My Shazam App was working overtime to take onboard some of the chilled playlist. I eat out for breakfast regularly on the IOW and can safely state that TRAMEZZINI is right up there with the very best. It won't be two years before I visit again. Thanks to Adam and his staff.

We visited Tramezzini for a family lunch today, 18th February. A delightful restaurant with a small main course menu but there were an additional 4 "specials" to choose from. Chris, the waiter/barman gave us the menus and wine list. We ordered and the meals were delivered. I had lamb rump which was tough and Chris immediately had it replaced. The way in which Chris handled the situation would certainly lead me to return. We had the price is wight vouchers and for £32 for a 2 course lunch for 2 represented extremely good value for money. Thank you Tramezzini and thank you Chris for a most enjoyable meal

We visited Ventnor for a Winter birthday weekend and my partner booked a table for dinner after reading good reviews on TA. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was by far the busiest place in the town on a cold January Friday so make sure you try and book ahead ! Wine list was great and we picked a bottle of Pic Poul De Pinet 2018 Beaugaran which we’d recommend and will find again when we get home ! Starters: Lots of choice so we chose two and swapped halfway through ! Scallops were great and cooked just right, and we also tried the special Seafood Arancini which was yummy. The menu is laid out as starters/tapas and I can see why ... on another occasion I think we’ll have to go back and order the whole starter menu !! Mains: My partner had a light battered white fish served as “posh fish and chips” .. the side of peas was delicious and cooked with pancetta .. certainly going to try that at home too !! I had the fillet of steak, with strips of steak in macaroni. Wow. It was huge. The steak was cooked to perfection ! I’m not a huge red meat eater so always hope for a real treat when I do order a steak and this was by far the best I’d had in a long time. My partner was happy that I couldn’t eat it all so he could help out ! Zero room for desserts sadly as they sounded delicious. Perhaps next time we’ll order Tapas and dessert ... there will definitely be a next time !! Nothing to improve on, service was great, a really lovely Birthday dinner. Thanks 🙏🏼

Spent a rather windy, wild weekend in Ventnor during Storm Dennis. Found Tramezzini nearby on TA, and on the off chance rang up. They were busy, and couldn't do the time I booked, but were able to fit us in 15 mins later. Now for me, the next bit warrants the 6th star. The lady phoned me back 5 mins before our booking time to say our table was running behind, and could we do 15 mins later still. With the wildness of the weather, we gladly obliged and stayed in our hotel bar longer. On arrival we were greeted by a lively, full and buzzing restaurant. Service was instant, and attentive without being over-bearing. Instantly provided with a jug of water, along with the menus... always a nice touch. The wine was sublime, a Domaine de l'Amour, Rosé. The starter, a bruschetta, was divine, with wonderful depth of flavour and served with gem leaves and samphire. If that was divine, the main delighted further: catch of the day sea bass, again with a depth and range of flavour that was tantalising for the taste buds. Already a great meal, add to that the wonderfully subdued music, the exquisite paintings, and the unhurried, uber-chilled service, and you have 6 stars from me. Quite simply the best meal we've had in 12 months. (p.s. the couple on the table next to us from Winchester that also braved the storm, you popped the icing on the cake!)

This was the best meal we have had on the island. The service was superb, the food was outstanding. We each had 3 different courses all of which were presented beautifully and exactly the right size portions so there was no waste, common in other establishments which overload the plates. The menu was different with enough variety. Simply fantastic place to eat. Can’t recommend it highly enough. We will be back Mr I Darnbrook Wroxall

I eat Gluten Free and the chefs and waiter went to great lengths to make menu choice really easy. They even went out especially to buy gluten free crackers for my cheese platter. It was a lovely atmosphere and fabulous food. The waiter was kind and witty and helpful.

The great coffee was the initial attraction to Tremezzini's. Since then we have also enjoyed their croissants, cooked breakfast and many evening meals. Again, with the latest visit, the friendly service added to the enjoyment of the wonderful meal.

A few weeks ago Tramezzini announced a take away service, to cater for the lockdown rules. They have managed to provide the usual high quality meals in a safe and effective manner. Currently they post up on FB on a Sunday the menus for the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a set meat or fish meal and vegetarian meal. You can call to book a slot to pick up your meal (or order via the Go Eats app if you want it delivered). It is piping hot and well packaged. We often pop it in the oven whilst we have a pre-dinner drink. Every meal we have had has been a delight. Each meal has a starter and main dish, and a complimentary desert is provided. You can include a bottle of wine in your order too if if wish.

We visited for the second time in the last 3 months worried that the second visit would not live up to the first. We need not have worried. We had the crispy pork belly , burnt apple and Isle of Wight blue cheese risotto and it was delightful. Flavoursome, succulent and perfectly seasoned. The service was perfectly attentive but not overbearing, the ambience was relaxed and with polite company. A third visit is only a matter of weeks away. All this and good value for money too.

This restaurant is so good. Met with friends here for dinner and honestly can say this is the best food in Ventnor. The chefs are so professional and the standard of food is very high, lovely waitress Madison who served us and made us feel very welcome and explained anything on the menu or specials, and had fantastic knowledge on the wine menu. I can highly recommend this restaurant to friends, couples, families with children for that bit of taste and speciality, you will not be disappointed and the atmosphere is spot on. Also must recommend their breakfasts and lunches too which we have tried! Thank you for a great experience! We will be back VERY soon!! X
