I have eaten twice here this year. The first time I was a guest in a large group so I didn't send my overcooked Fish back -I didn't want to make a fuss and embarrass my host. The second time I had a Fish Butty....More

My wife & I dined here Saturday lunchtime mid October 2018. The pub was quite quiet, with maybe another 7 or 8 tables filled. It is spacious & clean. We both had cheeseburger & chips which arrived after about 15-20 minutes. The food was pleasant...More

We visited here twice and would have gone again if we had found it earlier. Good atmosphere and enjoyed an early evening drink and then on the Saturday with the live music. The best thing is there are no televisions here!

After trailing round Douglas trying to find somewhere reasonably priced and also somewhere that was opened for reasonable meals we found The British pub along the quayside. I ordered the sausages and mash, and my husband the fish and chips. These meals turned up within...More

We visited for lunch with three kids and my parents. The food was ok but not great. It took almost an hour to arrive and then some of it was cold. Pretty bad service, no apology. We seemed to be the only people eating in...More
