Food and ambience

Special Occasion Dining, Romantic, View, Groups, Business meetings
We are a family run restaurant situated on the historic quayside in Peel. Diners can enjoy views across the marina, ancient castle and rolling hills (ideal for a stroll before or after a meal). Inside, diners can also enjoy views of the chefs at work in our open view kitchen preparing and cooking food freshly to order. Our menu features local flavours and tastes with fresh seafood, meats and vegetarian choices. We are proud of the islands suppliers and produces and use wherever possible as much locally sourced ingredients and produce. For our younger guests we have our Little Pirates menu, designed especially for kids with child friendly dishes and activity bags. Booking a table can be done

Meal - Set menu with 6 courses and even something for the non-fishy eater! The food tasted amazing, with appealing presentation and well thought out portion sizes. Atmosphere - Happy and warm welcome into a nicely lit restaurant. Tables spaced with enough room and decorated...More

Well, people, if your planning a group meal don't go here because somebody in your group will probably cancel for one reason or another, and they will parade the food ordered to all the other guests, place it on the table and charge you for...More

The staff were friendly, the food was just okay (this was expected as most Christmas menus are overpriced and mundane) however, we had 4 late cancellations from a party of 30 and I found it distasteful after telling the restaurant to please stop serving food...More

We have been to this restaurant several times before. This latest visit however was very disappointing. We booked a table for 8pm, however nobody came to our table until 8:30pm to ask us if we would like a drink. The waitress returned at 8:25pm to...More

I swore I'd never go back, having had two stodgy, uninspiring lunches at The Boatyard, over a year ago. Decided to give them another chance and it hasn't improved. I ended up having the same thing I had before because nothing else on the menu...More

Arrived unreserved on a Thursday evening. A few table already occupied and we got a nice one overlooking the dock. Food, fish of course, tasty and well cooked, prepared and presented. Dessert overwhelmingly delicious. Not cheap but not expensive. Thank you.

Visited The Boatyard restaurant with friends for lunch, it is a fairly small restaurant right on the Quay in Peel with views over the Marina. On the day of our visit it was not particularly busy, but it was a Tuesday lunch time. This is...More
