Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just loved this restaurant. Food is beautiful and a lot of garlic in unlikely things - but it works. Specially loved the garlic beer, which I wish was available everywhere. The shop too, was fabulous and had everything you could ever hope for. I brought...my dried smoked and other garlic bulbs home and pulled them apart, freezing them in labelled plastic bags. That way they'll last for months. You can also order from the shop online I understand. It was a wonderful experience to visit - and I'd love to return.More

Having bought garlic by mail order, I was looking forward to visiting. We had booked a table for breakfast and the menu looked interesting. The reality was different. Canned or jarred avocado spread onto stale bread, topped by undercooked bacon and a couple of eggs...poached in vinegar. The tea was nice but the milk was served in one of those silly little jugs that slop the contents all over the table. The shop was V busy with pots and jars of everything with garlic. The taster jars were helpful. We bought a couple of items but had to fight to get through the crowds. You need a bigger shop!!!More

Very nice set up as a shop, cafe etc. The garlic is expensive but very good quality. Very busy when we visited but lots of space to move around.

Went in at 12 15 - we had to come back at 1pm as verg busy. Arrived back at 1 and was taken to a table. We wasn't too keen on anything on the main menu, so we all had the chicken, bacon, and gaic...mayo sandwich from the specials board written £12. Long wait to be served, drinks and food arrived within reasonable time. Food was lovely, very yummy, no complaints there. 3 of us also got a slice of cake afterwards. Then another long wait to ask for the bill, so long my dad got up and asked a waitresses for it. While she was separating our bill (because I wanted to pay for more cake to take home), my mum realised they had overcharged us. Remember the specials costing £12... It looks like they've been charging everyone £13. So be very careful. We were lucky that my mum noticed that error. So if you're going to order from the specials board please please double-check your receipt.More

Amazing lunch at the garlic farm….so much choice and friendly service. We had such a good experience we visited for breakfast a couple of days later which was just as delicious. Good gluten free options which was just what we needed and all set in...beautiful surroundings. On both visits we were lucky enough to see a red squirrel. Cannot recommend enough.More

Nice location next to the farm itself, with a garlic laden menu - maybe a few alternative choices would be a good idea for anyone not keen like me! We’ll set up with a feeding area for red squirrels outside, with the one we saw...competing with a woodpecker and peacocks. Great quick serviceMore

Today was the second visit in 2 months and both visits were excellent. We had a bit of a feast for 2 people but we were NOT disappointed at all. We ordered garlic mushrooms, cheese and bacon ciabatta, pulled salted beef burger and the curried...goat burger then to finish a crème brûlée and Biscoff Cheesecake. Our waitress, Nic, was friendly and very lovely to chat with. The service was perfectly inviting and made us feel relaxed and happy. The food was amazing! Packed full of flavour and beautifully present - didn’t take pictures because we wanted to dive straight in! The desserts were incredible and can tell we’re homemade! Thank you for a wonderful experience again - we will certainly be back:More

The Garlic shop was a treasure trove of delights and all the things you can do with Garlic. I think the products are reasonably priced, but they could do with some special buy's - or product of the week, or buy two get one free,...or build your own basket type of ideas. Its a small space and everyone seems to buy so sales will be good - perhaps they don't need more?More

We stopped at the garlic farm shop, very good products all about garlic 🧄 we had lunch at the restaurant next to the shop and the food was excellent. The blond lady that looked after us was lovely, professional and friendly. We ordered following her...recommendation bagel pastrami, mushroom frittata all with a hint of garlic. For desert we tried black garlic ice cream and chocolate with garlic brownie. Highly recommended!!!! See you soon again.More

We were initially sat at the furthest point away from the counter squeezed in next to a piano (possibly due to not being islanders or regulars), which we felt was ridiculous given there were empty tables everywhere and immediately asked to be move to the...area where everyone else as seated. The staff all seemed to be very miserable and did not smile at all. We ordered cakes and drinks and the cakes were a huge disappointment as they were very dry. We have been a few times including lunch for my birthday last year, when we visit family on the island, but based upon our last experience will not be returning.More
