The Old Corner Bank is not much to look at but don't be put off by the appearance. It used to be a Bank but they have kept some of that quirkyness. The staff are friendly and the meal we had was very good. Not over priced. It's in the middle of Sandown so easy to find.

This was a great find on a wet Monday evening. Food was excellent with huge potions for the price , I had a locally made pie which was lovely and my other half had a gammon steak which could only be described as monstrous. Was lovely setting with character.

Really great value and the food was superb. The venue was recommended by the hotel we were staying in and even offered a discount voucher which we didn't use as we felt it was worth us paying full price. Went back a second time and still thought the food and friendliness of the staff was brilliant. 😀

Having gone to the I.O.W for the first time, I was so pleased to find this pub/restaurant ( seating is away from bar area ) they had a full A4 size menu for me to choose from, and the food was lovely so much so we went back twice, and will be going again in July this year .

Although we arrived about 45mins before they stop serving lunches we were welcomed. The food was freely cooked and tasted amazing. It was very quiet in the town as off season but still a good choice of food.

We liked the look of the unusual appearance of the building (being an old bank). We was warmly welcomed by Zoe who explained where we could sit, there was the snug, the restaurant or the bar. We opted for the bar and ordered cheese ploughman's for lunch. The ploughman's was great, 2 large chunks of fresh crusty bread, a selection... More

I had a cheese sandwich (they lovingly put onion in for me) and the husband had ham egg and chips. The quality of both was really good, the chips were the thickest I have ever seen! Very good lunch, I really enjoyed it.

When we purchased this building that used to be HSBC Bank, we wanted to keep as many of the original features of this lovely building as we could. The managers office is now our snug room and the original counter was used to make the main bar top. Our renovation work took several months and we opened on 10th May, 2013. Our restaurant/bar is built on the principles of serving quality, home cooked meals, fresh to order at affordable prices. Our aim is to provide a friendly, reliable service improving our standard products, and listening to the customer. We hope our unique service will establish our place in this industry and allow us to make a distinctive and substantial impact for our customers. We welcome customers to come and have a drink or a meal in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We have a main bar, snug and separate dining room. We welcome families and highchairs and baby changing facilities are available. Our dining room is also suitable and available for private and small functions. We have a specials board in the main bar and a daily desserts board.
