The food at Dalmunzie was excellent ! The breakfasts were very substantial using all local produce . The evening meals were outstanding with an excellent choice that changed daily . The wine list complemented the food

Visited on an DBB deal through 5 pm.com. Had viewed the various reviews but decided to continue with the visit. Where the bathroom in the Winton room needed redecorated the bedroom was fine and looked as if it was a new carpet. Unfortunately, only one other couple had booked and then cancelled so we could say we had the Hotel... More

Very kindly allowed us with our dog into the bar to eat and the food was absolutely delicious - soup, lasagne and a cheeseboard were all fabulous. A beautiful location with very friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed for one night in June 2016 having been impressed by the website. Unfortunately about three weeks earlier the manager and most of the staff had apparently left. The new manager tried his best (which wasn't great) but with virtually no staff the result was grim. The hotel is tired, the rooms were not clean, our bathroom seemed to... More

With only 8 residents booked for dinner you might have thought the chance of 2 more guests willing to stump up £45 per head + a decent drinks bill would be very welcome. But sadly no chef couldn't possibly accommodate that. Arrived in bar at 1700 and asked if we could dine, chef didn't have enough food - how can... More

The hotel was closed when we were planning our trip. We had only ever planned to play golf but would of had lunch there. It seems if the hotel isn't busy they just close it. Make sure you telephone before planning to visit. The scenery is breathtaking and the hotel looks good. After our 9 holes of golf we found... More

I have visited Dalmunzie for many years under a variety of owners, the last two of whom have been Australian. I have no problem with Aussies, but they just don't get it when it comes to running a highland hotel. We now stay in one of the cottages on the surrounding estate and would happily use the hotel's bar and... More

I must first say that Dalmunzie Estate has nothing to do with Dalmunzie Castle. Which is a shame because if it it was I am sure it would be far better. I did stay at the hotel many years ago returning many times for family holidays. I would not want to do it again at the moment. We were staying... More
