I booked a table here after reading the great reviews. In all honestly we didn't enjoy it at all. First, when we went to order a vodka drink- they said they only offered beer and wine. There was a full bar with liquor in the...restaurant, so that was a bit confusing and disappointing. We also didn't enjoy the food, but that may be because it was all so different from what we typically eat in the United States. The setting and location were great.More

Came here first following our engagement in August 2020 and loved it. Came back today following our wedding on the weekend and it’s still fabulous. We had a double serving of the bread and oils to start along with a portion of olives. The bread...is home baked by the chef and is the nicest bread we have ever tasted. We then both had the tarragon chicken which was full of flavour and delicious. I then had a generous portion of sticky toffee pudding and my wife had an enormous Mille Feuille which I was lucky enough to finish for her. Service is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the Blue Ball if you are ever in Tenby, we WILL returnMore

After reading 5 star reviews for the Blue Ball, we were a little bit disappointed. We felt that the food was a bit over-priced for what it was. We paid £32 for a steak that came with frozen chips and nothing else. For that price...we would have expected at least proper hand cut potato chips. My chicken was ok but nothing exceptional. Bottle of local Welsh beer seemed flat but glass of Pinot Grigio was lovely. The service was ok.More

We were a party of 10. Most of us though the food was very good. appreciate costs have gone up but difficult to overlook high prices. £3.50 extra for half chips / half rice rather than one or the other is ridiculous.

Cosy atmosphere. Hearty food and tasty. Friendly service. Very relaxed. We both left full and happy.

Amazing and delicious food! Not the cheapest but worth every penny. I had one of the specials - Black Bream fillets with fennel and my daughter had Belly Pork with bean stew. The service was brilliant and we would definitely return.

My wife and I have been here many times in the past 15 years of so that this restaurant has been in existence. We've never had a bad meal so we're always happy to return. This time was no different. I had the smoked mackerel...pate and my wife had the soup of the day (leek). Generous portions and delicious, they couldn't be faulted. We both had fillet steak for our main courses - cooked to perfection. Celeriac mash was just dreamy, the jus was lovely and the chips were excellent. We were too full for dessert, which was a pity but we were utterly stuffed! Will we return? That is beyond doubt!More

Husband and I came across this gem by accident while meandering through lovely Tenby. Although it wasn't open lunchtime, we popped back early evening, 6.30 to see if they had a free table. We were welcomed by a lovely lady (sorry can't remember her name)...and given a choice of tables. We settled near the back although the table near the fire was inviting, the weather was too warm! Great menu - husband specifically craved the faggots... we didn't bother with starters as we weren't too hungry, tho they did look nice. Good wine and beer selection too - bonus! So he had the faggots, I had the haddock and chips. Husband couldn't praise the food enough - I had to stop him practically licking the plate.... I had 2 haddock portions with some chips. The batter was light and crispy, the fish pure white - both meals were absolutely delicious. We staggered off into the night and agreed that when we come back to Tenby, we will definitely eat there again. Thanks Blud Ball - keep up the good work!More

I’m so glad we had this restaurant recommended to us! The setting was really cosy and quaint with very friendly and attentive staff. The food was extremely good (try the Blue Ball Chicken and the Hungarian Lamb Goulash) The whole dining experience was perfect and...I wouldn’t hesitate to book this restaurant again. Don’t be deceived by the plain look of the restaurant from the outside, open the door and take a peek. We booked on a Wednesday night and they were turning people away, so make sure to bookMore

4 starters, 4 mains 0 deserts (too full). Everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. I had the faggots and they were excellent with buttery mash and really tasty gravy. Wines were great too. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but still value for...money. We will be back next time we visit Tenby.More
