Extremely condescending staff with such poor attitude. Service was seriously bad, the manager was on his phone during the whole of the service. Food was good if you were prepared to wait an hour. One of the few places in Southport that offers a decent choice of plant based food. I especially like the atmosphere of the place , it is quite pleasant and extremely relaxing a really enjoyable experience.

Not having been to Gusto for some years I can honestly say it will be a long time before I go again. Upon entering the venue I was completely ignored by the waitress who passed me on numerous occasions but eventually waved from behind the...bar to the table by the owner. The food was acceptable but having the table booked for 7.30pm my daughter and I were made to feel uncomfortable with the lights being turned off at 9pm except for where we were sat.More

Great food, terrible treatment from the OWNER of the restaurant. I took my sister for a dinner and there was a birthday party going on. The party was very loud and was bothering everyone else in the restaurant. I kindly asked the owner if he...can go and ask them to lower their volume. He told me to go AND TELL THEM MYSELF and turned his back to me. How incredibly rude is that?! There were other customers covering their ears because the party was so loud. I can’t believe that the owner didn’t do anything about it. And he even had the audacity to have such a horrible attitude. If that’s how he treat his CLIENTS, I can’t even imagine how he treats his staff.More
We were staying in Southport while attending the British Open. Thank heavens we found Gustos! It was the best food and dining experience that we had on our trip. We stayed in Southport for 5 nights and ate at this restaurant every night. It was...amazing. The owner was on site and welcomed us every night. True Italian cuisine! Very reasonable prices. Fresh seafood prepared with incredible skill and beautiful presentation. As I write this I wish I were back there! Highly recommended.More

Visited Gusto after being in town for a music festival with 2 friends. We were seated and ordered drinks, after a short look at the menu,ordered garlic bread to start. Beautiful tasty bread. Main meals were fabulous. Me and my wife had lasagne, absolutely superb...and our friends had seafood dishes which they said were excellent too. We had a couple of drinks and also dessert. My panna cotte was lovely, as was the tiramaso. Lovely, friendly staff, and a great experience. We will return. Thanks.More

Found this by accident. Small, friendly and intermate. Delightful and helpful service. As for the food, excellent. Best veggie spaghetti bolognaise that I have had, tasty tomato sauce, a real pleasure. My wife had an avocado and Feta salad, large portion, looked and tasted fabulous....Will definitely return as it was a great experience and reasonably priced.More
