We visited this evening as a last minute birthday treat for a 13 year old, four of us. We ordered the banquet with lots of starters and crispy duck pancakes. The food was absolutely beautiful, the ribs were melt in the mouth tasty and the...vegetable spring rolls beautifully fresh and crunchy with lovely vegetables. Everything dish that arrived was beautiful, fresh and tasty with not a hint of msg . The dips for the starters were all homemade. The service was first class, from the friendly waitress who couldn’t do enough for us to ling who came out of the kitchen frequently to speak to us. They made an absolute fuss over the birthday boy, from balloons, to sparklers and fancy deserts to fancy dress. There was plenty of food for us to take home, for another dinner. The restaurant is immaculately clean and it is clear to see why this is so highly rated and such a long running successful establishment. We can’t wait to go back and throughout December they do a Christmas banquet for £22 per head and karaoke every night… perfect for a fun packed pre Christmas night.More

Whilst away last weekend, a friend & I wanted to go out for dinner. We accidentally stumbled upon Lings on Kings. What a find! From the moment we walked in, the welcome was second to none. The two young men who worked the floor &...reception, were excellent, very polite & very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. We only managed to get in, as some other diners had just left. Right place at the right time! The service was spot on, the sort of service, you'd expect from a much larger fine dining restaurant. As for the food, well let me tell you, it was the best Asian food, I've ever tasted & I've travelled a lot. Ling, the wonderful, beautiful, charismatic & charming proprietor, couldn't do enough. Originating from Peking, she has been running this establishment for more than 40 years. That in itself shows, just how much her menu is coveted. She has won many n prestigious prizes, for her food & establishment. The ambience of the place, was mesmerising. Ling was so engaging, so too were the two younger men. We laughed, we had photographs together. Which Ling provided hats, garlands, etc for staging. We had a wonderful night. Thank you Ling for such a perfect evening. Btw we had to ask for take out boxes, as we couldn't get past the second course. Still had the main & dessert to go! Ling very kindly boxed & bagged them all up, for us to take away. Plus, some little extras. Also, spare napkins, extra chop sticks & sachets of lemon hand wipes. We're ended up with a meal for the following evening. I for one, shall be eating there again. Plus, I'll be telling all of my friends about her place too. Definitely deserves 5 stars, if I could give more I would!More

My girlfriend and I had a great time here last night. Food was great, and plentiful. Can't argue with the value, we even ended up taking some food home which is something I very rarely do! Can't fault the service either, we weren't kept waiting...for anything and were well taken care of. We would definitely come again.More

We found this hidden gem by accident, we did book thank goodness as it was really busy on a Saturday night. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who offered us drinks whilst they got the table ready (we were a little early) The...service was brilliant, the food was fantastic and the value for money was even better. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the lovely owner came to chat , there was a party atmosphere as there were several birthdays. We had a great time and will definitely visit again.More

We have been here for meals but never had a take away before but sometimes that’s just what you need. We had crispy duck and pancakes and special fried rice and curry and of course prawn crackers. Enormous portions but so delicious and way way...better than anyway take away we’ve had before. All delivered promptly with a smile. Might have been our first but it’s definitely not our last take away from here.More

My husband and myself went to Lings on Wednesday for my birthday. We were greeted with smiles and cheerfulness by a young lady ,who guided us to our table and asked what we like to drink. We sat down and looked at the well presented...menu and as soon as the young lady returned we placed our orders. In matter of minutes our starters came then not long after we finished that our mains came during those periods of recieving and finishing our meals both the young lady and the owner Ling came to checkon us and other customers conversed we us all my husband told her it was my birthday they got a banner out and a balloon after the meal i got a nice big surprise a cake and happy birthday sang and it felt like it was a birthday party with family and friends i enjoyed every minuite . Hidden Gem of a restaurant. I visited Lings on Kings with my family, and we had a wonderful time, Ling the owner and her staff made all the family very welcome, We enjoyed the D banquet and enjoyed all the dishes expecially the ribs and...crispy duck. The children especially enjoyed the toffee apple desert with ice cream. Great value for money, and we will definitely return.More

We went to Lings for my wife’s birthday. We were met with a warm welcome on arriving. I choose the chicken and sweetcorn soup and my wife had duck pancakes. The starters came quickly and were excellent. Ling came to speak to us which was...a good touch. We both had sweet and sour chicken and boiled rice for our main course. This proved to be a good choice and we weren’t disappointed. Ling brought out a birthday cake, balloon, and sparkler for my wife - a nice surprise. We will definitely be returning.More
