Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great experience at Chez Moi sat outside in the sun. Food and wine is exceptional as is the service. Salvatore is a great chef and great host. Would highly recommend. Muscles are amazing as are the Profiteroles.

Beautiful meal, large portions. We had the lamb chops. Mussels seem to be a very popular starter. Lovely staff. Ate here numerous times,

This place is absolutely perfect! It’s the best place in Southport. We went on a Saturday night and they had a fantastic singer on - who by the end of the night had everyone up dancing. The food is just amazing. This is my second...time going - but my mum is a regular and took me. And I honestly couldn’t wait to go back and the second time didn’t disappoint. Staff are amazing - the owner even had me up dancing and was reaching me some steps. I had the pate, and steak with chips. And they were just gorgeous- the kind of meal you don’t want to end. I would highly recommend this place. We will be back very soon!More

We visited Southport overnight on a trip to see Anthony Gormley’s another place. We booked Chez Moi on the strength of the other reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely food, good portion sizes, friendly staff and the bonus of a singer and a little dance...lesson with Salvatore. We will definitely head here again if we find ourselves back in Southport. Thanks for a lovely evening.More

Great little restaurant very busy on a Saturday night and there was a singer on too. Good set menu with supplements for some things like steak. We had pate, lamb chops and profiteroles while hubby had mussels, fillet and cheesecake. All really well cooked and...very tasty and all a reasonable price. Highly recommended and suggest you book as it’s not very big and gets busy at weekends.More

We were celebrating out 10th wedding anniversary and were in Southport collecting a gift for my wife and decided to eat there as we've been there once before and was impressed. It wasn't busy and we were offered a choice of tables and went for...the window, though they are slightly smaller. Salvatore, the owner came and gave us some recommendations from the menu and we chose mussels followed by fillet steak. The mussels were divine, served with a lovely garlic wine sauce and fresh herbs. We both would have happily had a second portion for a main course, though the starter portion was huge. The fillet steak, a special for the day, was a good quality cut of meat and cooked perfectly. The peppercorn sauce, thick and creamy and with lots of big peppercorns. It was delicious. I was persuaded to have a tiriamisu for desert and though Tracey doesn't eat coffee deserts, she tried a bit and went back for more... All in all a lovely dining experience, great surroundings, in the town centre and yes we will go again.More

We enjoyed a fabulous family birthday meal, 23 of us treated to excellent tasty food and the most friendly efficient service. There is a wide choice on the menu, something for everyone and we had the private dining room at the rear to ourselves. Thankyou...Sal and everyone at Chez Moi, highly recommended!More

This is a brilliant find. Home made food of the highest quality, wonderful chef and brilliant front of house owner. Staters of magnificent garlic n cheese baked mushrooms and mules mariner but finished with a mustard white wine and cream sauce. Mains calves liver with...bacon in a rich sauce and fillet steak served with veg and chips. Desert home made Profiteroles with homemade ice cream. Bottle of Chablis all served by the wonderful co owner. Bill…….. just under £80 without service. If you are in the area joy just have to visit, best in Southport!More

Went in for a romantic meal for 2 , ended up feeling like we were on a double date , with the two men on the table next to us . We were sat on a table literally 3 inches from the next one ,...even though there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant that were occupied!! No privacy whats so ever , we could hear every word they said to each other, and vice versa . Another couple came in and were sat on a similar table , they asked to move , but were told the other tables were reserved. My meal was lovely , but the portion was small , I was left hungry, we didn’t want to hang about for desert and impose ourselves on the 2 gentlemen any longer . The gentleman working in there was attentive , but unless you want to mingle with the other diners - avoid this place .More

We booked alate table here after visiting family when most of the tables had already finished up. Starters were an excellent homemade terrine and moules mariner. Main a perfectly cooked steak with peppercorn sauce and to die for lamb cutlets. Dessert homemade cannelli. Menu reflects...the Italian owner, the completely charming Salvatore who made us feel so welcome. A fantastic meal in a fantastic restaurant. We will definitely be back next time we are in Southport.More
