Firstly shout out to Robson Green’s TV programme otherwise we may not have come across this delightful place. Apologies for the delayed review from our stay in August. We received a warm and friendly welcome. A peaceful location with pleasant views and nature right on...the doorstep of the lodge. A modern lodge, which is spacious. We thought it did miss a side table next to the bed. We pre-ordered a meat and cheese platter, which was enjoyed with a chilled glass of fizz as the sun set for the evening. We certainly appreciated the cheese more having had the interesting, friendly chat and tour with Allison earlier in the day, The cheese tour was informative and great insight into cheese making. Thank you. We ate breakfast in the on-site cafe and again the food was tasty with a friendly service. We had a lovely time celebrating a birthday during our stay switching off from the hustle and bustle of life. We agree with cheese and tranquility is the way to be. We hope to return and have recommended others to visit. Thanks again.More

Hubby and I stayed in one of the glamping huts with our pooch. It's really quiet and romantic - lucky us, we had a perfectly clear sky to watch the stars from our hot tub. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and of course, the...cheese and meat platter was yummy. We hope to go back again one day.More

We had a multi sensory experience having stayed in one of the glamping pods, enjoyed Allison’s dairy tour and gorged ourselves on both a charcuterie/cheese platter and two delicious breakfasts. We even met the piglets. It’s a terrific business trying to do a small selection...of things really well. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed having a large fluffy bath sheet to dry myself after a shower (no feeble bath towel here). It’s a business which is constantly striving to improve which is so refreshing. That said, being off grid was so relaxing - no telly! Allison’s cheeses are wonderful and Jonathan’s breakfasts superb.More

What an absolute gem of a cafe. The owners are so welcoming. Excellent menu choices. Well priced. They produce there own range of cheeses which are amazing. Also have the best cheesecake I've ever tasted. Can't wait to visit again.

What can we say except spectacular! The hospitality and kindness of both Allison and Jonathan were exceptional and the icing on the cake of a superb weekend. We stayed in Ash Shepards hut for 2 nights during July’s wettest days but that did not dampen...the experience or enjoyment. From a very informations dairy tour - Allison’s love for what she does is inspirational - to a cracking breakfast starter with the best sausages we’ve ever eaten (and we’re from Lincolnshire) To top it all off, the cocktails are beautiful, strong and flavourful. We haven’t even discussed cheese! The Brie is beyond what our tastebuds could handle - simply divine. Thank you both for your hospitality, nature and pure goodness.More

I first heard about Teesdale Cheesemakers on Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes & am so grateful that I did. The glamping pods & scenery looked amazing on the show & I immediately thought “I could do with some of that!” As virtually full time carers for...my elderly mum, my hubby & I needed a break but because of our roles, we can’t go far or for more than a day or two. However with careful planning I managed to book two nights with our besties to coincide with our wedding anniversary & hubby’s birthday. To say it was just what the Dr ordered, would be an understatement! From the warm welcome from Allison & Jonathan when we arrived, to the fantastic breakfast we had in their on-site cafe before we left, everything was idyllic. If you need to recharge the batteries & get away from the stresses of life, then this is definitely the place for you. I can’t overstate how relaxing this place really is. We were certainly lucky with the weather during our stay & enjoyed a nightly barbecue before a couple of hours in the hot tub, under the stars. The accommodation is well laid out, warm & welcomingMore

What an amazing stay - we were warmly greeted by Allison in reception whilst we were having a drink after arriving early. Jonathan then took us over to the glamping lodge and explained everything to us and gave us information about the surrounding countryside- Jonathan...did say that they were always looking at ways of improving but in our opinion just keep doing what you are doing. Our weekend was for total relaxation and that’s exactly what we did , the hot tub is fabulous and the views are stunning. We went for a walk through the adjoining field into the wood and down to the stream which was bliss . The sounds of the Curlews and owls on an evening were so lovely . We highly recommend visiting- Thank you Allison and JonathanMore

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Alison and Johnathan were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Johnathan showed us to our lodge and everything worked including the wood fired hot tub which was amazing under the stars!...The lodges are off grid and fit beautifully into their surroundings with perfect views of rolling countryside and you are surrounded by nature and all its sights and sounds adding to the tranquillity. The food and drink in the cafe (and to takeaway) is top quality. Alison’s cheese making tour was a great insight into what takes place to get cheese to your plate and revealed Alison’s passion for her cheese making skills. Johnathan allowed us to see what goes on on the farming side as we helped him feed their pigs and he too gave us an insight into a typical day in his life and what got them to where they currently are with their business. They truly are amazing hosts with a great passion for their business which enhances the quality of your stay.More
