We had made a delivery order of multiple dishes inc a vegetable dansak. Whilst eating the dish my father (who is vegetarian for health and religious reasons) noticed that he was chewing on a piece of chicken and instantly removed this from his mouth. I...contacted the restaurant to complain about this matter. The gentleman who I spoke to stated that he has spoken with the chef and that there is no way that the chef had placed chicken into the dish. He then began to accuse myself of adding the chicken into the dish. I attempted to establish with him why I would do such a thing? Furthermore, to my dismay apparently the restaurant do not class ‘chicken’ to be meat. This was established when I was accused of falsifying information by initially stating that there was ‘meat’ in the dish, then stating ‘chicken’ further into our conversation. The gentleman who I spoke to was rude and reluctantly gave me a refund. It is fair to say we will not be ordering from The Curry Bengal in the future.More

Very disappointed. Ordered a curry from here, got halfway through the chicken curry dish & the chicken was very slimy, so I cut open the chicken and realised the chicken was raw, this made me Violently sick and in excruciating pain for days to follow,...I was so unwell due to this raw chicken I was considering calling an ambulance for myself. The restaurant do not seem to care, I Have written this on the curry Bengal just eat review and it was deleted by the restaurant (convenient) it appears all the reviews are good as the negative ones get deleted. (Wish I had known this before) I am not usually one to write reviews but I am so Worried to think what might happen to somebody younger/older or with weakened immune systems if they was to eat raw chicken from here, scary thought, please avoid for the sake of your health. Let’s hope this doesn’t get deleted as the public need to know the truth.More

I visited Curry Bengal for the first time on a Saturday evening as part of a large group from a local sports club. I arranged to be dropped off which proved a sound move as on street parking in the immediate vicinity is limited by...the presence of “double yellows” The restaurant is bright and has a very modern and open feel. I was one of the first of the group to arrive and was shown to the area set aside for our party. Staff were very pleasant and once seated they took my drinks order and very quickly returned with an excellent pint of Cobra, nicely chilled and tasting exactly how a well maintained lager should. I noted that the remaining tables were all occupied and this ensured there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. When we had all arrived our order was taken. To keep matters simple we skipped poppadums an elected for starters and mains. I ordered Shami Kebab for starters and my usual chicken madras with mushroom bhaji side and boiled rice. Considering we were a party of 25 starters arrived quickly with little wait between our tables. My kebab was nicely spiced but quite thin and a little on the dry side. Mains were again served with no delay. The chicken was juicy and well cooked and the sauce was thick and smooth. The dish had the right balance of meat to sauce though the sauce was slightly under spiced for my taste. The mushroom side was nicely presented though again quite bland. Rice was spot on with nicely separated fluffy grains. All portions were of a good size and in combination gave a meal to satisfy the heartiest appetite. Throughout the meal service was attentive and drinks were refreshed whenever required. I thought the staff provided excellent service given the size of our group and that all other tables were occupied. A very enjoyable meal in welcoming surroundings with superb service at a price that offered great value. I will definitely return and I am sure the spice level can be raised with a word to the wait staff. Best Indian restaurant experience in Horley and I will return.More

One of the worst curry’s I’ve had 😕no taste whatsoever. Very bland with no flavour at all. Really disappointed. Would definitely not recommend.

Really disappointed would be an understatement. We understand it was a busy night but if you were to busy to deliver food hot then don’t accept the orders. We waited over an hour for our food, tried ringing and was constantly engaged to then get...through and be told they are busy but our food was ready just no delivery driver to deliver it so was sat there for over 20 minutes getting cold. Once we finally got our food it was if anything slightly warm and bits were missing. I’m so angry, all we got was a pitiful sorry and a mention of 10% off our next order, this doesn’t cover any of the mistake and incompetence. It doesn’t even cover one curry!More

I ordered a takeaway from Curry Bengal last night, it took 1hr 45 min to arrive, which I didn't mind because I knew it was a busy night, so I factored that in and ordered early. But when it turned up, one of the main...curry dishes was missing!!! I ordered for my family so I had no choice but to give mine to my child, I was left without dinner sadly.More
