Lovely relaxing surroundings for my sisters birthday meal. Food was fresh and delicious- loved the asparagus tart! Margo was attentive but never intrusive and the courses were delivered in a timely and leisurely pace. Would definately return. Thank you

All the dishes we had were really delicious, and every mouthful was a tasty little adventure of new ingredients beautifully blended together. Serving sizes were great - not too big and not too small. The service was great too (thanks Margo!) - attentive without being...overbearing, friendly without being too 'in your face'. There was a lovely ambience in the restaurant. All in all, a fantastic meal and great service. Really don't think anything could have been improved upon. Thanks to all the team there.More

Lovely venue with polite & friendly staff. Had the afternoon tea which was amazing; very tasty. We couldn’t finish all the lovely cakes so were kindly given a box to take home. We will definitely be back.

Food and service were excellent. A mistake was made in our order that resulted in the wrong main course being provided to one of our party. This was quickly sorted by advising that the wrong main course was free and the correct one would be...served asap. We all enjoyed the extra food (though we were stuffed at the end) and the resolution of this problem meant that the service maintained its excellence. Ambience / atmosphere was ok but we would have preferred a bit more vibrance - though that is entirely a personal preference of course. Value for money was excellent given the free main course we received. We would return but, unfortunately, do not live in Sterling so can't make this a regular haunt. Whether you live local or not this should be a must location for a fabulous dining experience.More

Everything was just perfect- great food- tasty and not overly fussy, great service- looked after well but not hovered over, great selection, although as I am intolerant to chocolate and coffee my dessert choice was limited, however cheese selection was a treat

Amazing food, good size potions for a fine dinning tasting menu, not too pretentious. Great touch, that the chef came out to seek feedback afterwards

Not living in Stirling, I wasn't aware of this establishment, nor were my guests, but I was looking for something a bit different to celebrate a milestone birthday. It is a quiet neighbourhood and we were first to arrive, out of four covers in The...Orangery that lunchtime. Our attending lady from Co. Durham was friendly and welcoming and the room was also just the right warmth, coming in from heavy rain on our respective journeys. Two ordered the spiced parsnip soup and one ordered the salmon and chive tart as starters. All declared them to be delicious. Two ordered the duck with artichoke, rosemary spätzli, crispy kale and a slash of orange and liquorice reduction and one ordered the venison pie, with a unique tarragon bespoke topping and buttered vegetables. Again, there were happy faces. Finally, two ordered the Parsnip, Chocolate & Rhubarb Caramelized White Chocolate & Parsnip, White Chocolate Mousse, Rhubarb Puree & Sorbet; the other was full after the venison! It was an excellent denouement to the meal, or so we thought. Just as coffee and tea was being drunk, along came the starter/dessert chef bearing a slate with four petits fours each, plus a lit candle atop a little brownie cube for my friend's belated birthday. The chef stopped for a wee chat and whilst we'd have been happy to have had the ordinary meal, this extra touch was almost literally the icing on the cake. As mentioned above, we don't live in Stirling, but I asked the others afterwards whether they'd come back. There was no hesitation in saying "absolutely". And that's three of us. Incidentally, the three other covers were each having afternoon tea which seemed a bit curious at 1pm-ish. There was a good variety of sandwiches and cakes and they were given boxes to take away anything not immediately eaten. Perhaps we'll try that at some point...More

We went for a girly 50th birthday celebration afternoon tea, and we certainly were not disappointed. We were attended to so beautifully by the lovely ladies who were front of house. Every need was catered to, and we had more food than we could possibly...manage. Brought some home on the train, for our next day treat. A gorgeous setting, it felt so calm and opulent, but not so much that we felt out of place. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at The Orangery. Compliments to the chef also, for a very tasty feast.More
