Wandered the streets of Stirling walking passed the usual chain pubs etc when we say this place. Great service (good chat) and better than OK food.

The restaurant was lovely, the waiter was friendly and chatted about the right drinks to go with the food. the Cheese board we shared and it was lovely local cheeses. the Muscles my other half had and they were fresh is an amazing sauce. The Sea bass was perfectly cooked and the Ice-cream was a yummy salted caramel.

This place has obviously changed hands since we were all last there. It used to be brilliant and now its dreadful. Four of us had the soup and we sent it back three times to have it heated up but it still wasn't warm. Next course wasn't any better. Two of us had the cottage pie and it was luke... More

I never have a burger, but really wanted one when we visited so I indulged myself. It was *very* good - the other half opted for the special a stew which he thought was lovely too. Portions were just right for both of us so dessert was on the menu. I had the cheese board. Just lovely the cheese included... More

I struggle to eat out as am dairy and gluten intolerant. There was plenty of choice on the menu for me, far more than most places I visit, and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating to my needs. Had an amazing falafel burger in a gluten free bun with the most amazing hand cut chips. So good! Can't rate... More

First of all, don't let the look of Brea put you off. Yes it looks basic and stripped back but it works, trust me. The food is excellent and award winning with some great specials and and a varied choice. The wine list and whisky on offer isn't half bad either! And the staff? Well the staff are fantastic. We... I visited here on Saturday 29 October and was most taken aback by the poor service, an eternity taken between drinks being ordered and arriving, same with the food. The manager or owner type woman seemed very flustered and very abrasive to any form of query or complaint, when I pointed out the length of time for my wifes starter... More

Once again, (at least 3 reviews now!) we are fully aware that you have not visited our restaurant and that this review is the result of a dismissed employee attempting to damage our reputation. The 'blonde lady'/owner which you refer to in all your reviews (i.e. the person who sacked you) was not even working on the dates that you... More

After a wee visit to Stirling Castle, we were able to find Brea as our lunch spot. I enjoyed a dram of single malt Scotch as well as the haggis dish on the menu. If you are from a culture where haggis is not a normal part of life--try it--you will like it.

Steak was nice, burger tasty and food fresh, surrounds plain but staff made you feel relaxed. Would like to try there for Dinner as I had late lunch
