Great food on Sunday evening. I had the Sea Bass which was lovely. My wife had the Welsh Lamb Medallions. Outstanding! Service here is great. Good waiters and the head waiter is very funny. Beer is amazing if you like Real ales. Glamorgan brewery CWRW...and the Pale Ale were superb. It gets very (VERY) busy but is worth it. Book in advance (well in advance) for the food.More

Great food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They had a good selection of meals on the main menu and the specials board. Our server was attentive and friendly, we'll definitely return.

Thought we’d try steak night and glad we did! Steak was really good great size and cooked perfectly as I requested. Chips were good. Peppercorn sauce and onion rings were really good and we were told they were made by the chef as was the...puddings which were very nice. Portions were very good and the service throughout was excellent very attentive staff who looked after us well. We will be back.More

I’d previously had dinner at the Royal Oak early last year for a friends birthday and it was great, which is why I suggested to my partner that we go and try together. A year on and I honestly believe the food was even more...amazing than the previous year. We had the mushroom bruschetta to start to share, followed by two steaks (which were cooked incredibly, I honestly think this is one of the tastiest steaks I’ve personally ever had). As I’m not a huge fan of chips I requested if it was possible to have mash potato instead, this was not a problem for the staff at all, the mash is soo tasty I think they should offer it as a side, it would most likely be a huge hit! Portion sizes were great. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant which was lovely as we were able to walk him along the beach beforehand. Honestly 10/10 experience for us! Staff were lovely & we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much!More

Came in on Saturday night as a table of 5 women (arguably difficult to please) and managed to impress every last one of us! The monkfish was absolutely *chefs kiss*, beef bon bons were melt in the mouth, every bite was completely on point! We...loved it so much we begged to be fit in to an early sitting for Sunday lunch the following day, which was equally as perfect and delicious, maybe the best Sunday roast we’ve had in a very long time! Absolutely can’t wait to return! Staff fantastic and attentive, prompt service. If looking for a delicious meal in saundersfoot, definitely book here!More

We had dinner at The Royal Oak a couple of times over a weeks stay in Saundersfoot. You couldn't fault the atmosphere, food and service, excellent. My only criticism is the toilets, that need upgrading and where not great. Worth a visit though.

We visited the Royal Oak for the first time today.Tried a couple of beers before picking the right one, spot on. Selected some bar snack food, steak sandwich, pate, and toasted granary bread. Both with delightful salads and extras. All superb. But what added an...extra dimension was the warm welcome and attentive service from the front of house team Jack, Charlotte, and Owen. I'm sure the chef is pleasant, too! A really relaxing, chilled lunchtime experience. Lovely ambience in the bar, too. A return visit is imminent. What a pub should be about. Thanks again.More

Great looking menu. That’s where it ends. Left after 40 minutes of waiting to place an order. Appalling service, food that came out was paltry, toilets disgusting. Plenty of great restaurants in Saundersfoot, why waste your time and money here.More
