We arrived too late for the coffee and cake but did look around the gift shop and made some purchases. There were some very unusual pop-up cards and other unusual gifts together with some really good old fashioned toys and games. It was nice to see something different and not all the same stuff you see everywhere. I know it... More

Stopped off at Pickering to visit the market on a Monday. we had a walk around the shops and was in need of a drink before we departed. I had a cup of coffer, the wife had early grey tea. Caramel shortcake was very nice.

We have sat outside in the summer and had a very pleasant lunch. The food is always freshly prepared and served with a smile. The shop has some different and interesting scarves, bags etc. I would recommend a visit.

Beckside Tea Room--We thought this tea room looked nice from the outside and saw lots of specials on the board, so we went in and this is when the con started. We were a party of four and on the board it said Bacon or sausage sandwich with tea for £3.50 so we duly ordered at the counter--(no service-you have... More

First impressions very clean, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. Nice cuppa & latte. Toast could have stayed under grill a little longer but plenty of butter & jam with it. A little more expensive than other places, but pleasant.

Had a lovely coffee and milk shake here and an excellent piece of cherry Bakewell. Staff are really friendly. Prices are the usual for a tea room.

I visited with friends in September 2015. The cafe is tucked in a nice building with a tourist style shop beside it. There is a nice seating area at the front a single table in the foyer and then more seating inside. We ordered a light lunch and drinks which took over 45 minutes to arrive and consisted of low... We called mid morning on our way back from Whitby. We had our dog and you could sit outside which was good. We ordered 2 bacon and egg rolls, a tea and a Cappucino. The food was good, lovely fresh bread and a good yolks egg! The staff were friendly and bought water for my dog.
