The lady who served us was absolutely lovely and very welcoming. The cafe was really nice, very rustic with lovely interiors, very cosy! Thank you for having us!

This is a must when we visit Yorkshire , well worth the journey. The food is superb and beautifully served in a lovely setting. Today we snuggled by the fire and had cheese toasties and mince pies and gingerbread. Cannot wait for our next visit !

A few weeks ago, while driving in the Pickering - Rosedale Abbey area on a Sunday afternoon, I happened to remember reading about the Dale Head Farm Tea Garden and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did! The temperature outdoors was somewhat cool and there was a fire in the wood-burning stove in the shelter.... More

Before setting off to visit the cafe on the Sunday, I first phoned up on the Friday before. 1) to make sure it was actually open on the Sunday we were planning to go. 2) for directions. I knew roughly where i was going, and after speaking to Maggie (the lovely owner), I told her that I was bringing my... More

It was a fantastic delight for me and Chris (his name) . Your mother in law is an inspiration and she obviously has a lovely family surrounding her. I cant wait to hear more from her when she visits - truly facinating. I spoke to a friend who lives at Number 6 and she would like to chat to her... More

We were pottering round north Yorkshire visiting all the Monastic sites we could and on our way to the site of Rosedale Abbey - only a small tower left - we took a diversion to Maggie's farm. It was a chilly but very bright sunny day and the views from the farm are spectacular. We were warmly greeted by Maggie... More

This tea room is perfectly situated for a mid-walk break: stunning views down Rosedale, a relaxed and friendly service and delicious- looking cakes made to traditional Yorkshire recipes. A wonderful spot in the heart of the North York Moors that will bring us back.

I planned a mountain bike tour for our bike club and this tea room was a perfect place to refuel at the head of the beautiful Rosedale Valley. The owner couldn't be more helpful and the range of homemade delights were all freshly made and I would highly recommend the Yorkshire Brack. Drinks were all served in traditional china too.... Still, blue, warm September morning. Sat in the garden, stunning views across and down the dale and with a piece each of our newly discovered Yorkshire favourites; moggy and brack. One of those lovely moments that you'd be hard-pushed to better. Thank you ladies.

We arrived walking to this wonderful tea room. We walked a few miles and while we had our own snacks, what a wonder to find this tea room in a wonderful setting on a hill after we walked across muddy farm fields and crossed a river. We sat outside in a misty rain under an umbrella at a picnic table,... More

A great tea garden at the end of a long Lane. I had a pork pie and milk shake, the pork pie was delicious and came with cheese, pickled onions, salad and other bits. The service was friendly and the food delicious. Take care when driving down the lane as it is a single track in parts with blind corners... More
