This restaurant is on the main beachfront road in the centre of Morecambe. It was quite busy when we were eating (Saturday night) and the atmosphere was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices were good and a bottle of Malbec was only £22. We both had Tom Yum soup to start with and it was superb. As good as any we had eaten. For the meal we ordered the Bangkok special set menu at £52 per couple. Prawn toast, dim sum, salad and a couple of other starters. Mains were Massoman curry (chicken), spicy beef salad and crispy belly pork. All served with a bowl of jasmine rice and a bowl of egg fried rice. Beef salad was cold and spicy, great. Massoman curry was great, but the belly pork was disappointing. It was thin pieces of belly pork deep fried into a small, flat and very chewy mouthfuls. Neither of us really enjoyed it. I’ve cream for dessert. Toilets located on 3rd floor, so a good few steps to reach them. Overall it was very nice, but not quite 5 stars.

Visited the other week with my boyfriend and his parents, honestly the food is 10/10 and I don’t understand what’s not to like? Baffles me when people complain about the price of Thai food because you’re always getting what you pay for - lots of flavours, choices, quality, colours, presentation, heat… everything. It was so good we came back last night - on Saturday 21st May, with my bestfriend and her partner, again we thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s 100% the best Thai I’ve ever been to, the food is unreal and the staff are really lovely and attentive, especially the blonde lady who served us that evening. Decor is quite out dated but I think it adds a lot of character to the place and seems almost traditional. Will definitely be going back! Thank you ❤️

I'm amazed that this has made it to number 4 on the rankings of places to eat in Morcambe, The staff were attentive but there were 2 mistakes with our order, the waitress apologised and explained that there had been a communication problem between the waitress and the kitchen staff even though the order had been taken on a mobile device not a mistake in handwriting. The noodles were tasteless, salt &pepper chicken wings were nice with a decent amount of meat on them, The Black & Thai grilled chicken breast was very average, the best thing we tasted was the breaded chicken pieces from the children's menu. We all ate Thai and none of us tried the steaks, it must be the Steaks that give the restaurant such good reviews, as a Thai restaurant I wouldn't visit again, overall we all came away feeling disappointed, nothing was bad, but at the same time nothing was good.

Menus are laminated bits of paper which makes it very tricky to clearly see meal choices and pass around the table for others to see but the waitress gave recommendations when she took our order. Starters were lovely, recommend the spring rolls and chicken satay. Only 6 Main meals were brought out to our table of 7 and no-one noticed we had a missing meal. When I asked a waitress they said they’d ask and then set about taking orders on other tables without informing us what was happening with our missing meal. We asked again to be told “it’s coming”. I then had to go up to the counter to ask where the meal was as everyone else had stayed theirs “2 minutes” was the reply. 10 minutes later and after everyone else had finished their meals our last remaining meal arrived. Really poor service and communication leaving a diner pressurised in to rushing a meal and not enjoying the experience. We were offered a measly 15% off the late meal only which equates to £3! In my opinion it should have been taken off the bill but my the late meal diner settled for 50% off that one meal. A real shame as the food was delicious. Would have scored higher if it had been a meal we could have all enjoy together as a family.

Ordered a take away last week, haven't had a Thai for ages and after reading good reviews thought I would order one. Was really disappointed. Ordered a Thai green curry, rice, grilled spicy chicken, chips, salt and pepper squid and salt and pepper chicken wings. Even though I ordered it and they said 6pm I still stood there for about 15 minutes waiting. Once I got home realised I had a red curry not a green as ordered. I was so hungry I couldn't be bothered going back so just ate it. It was fine, just not as good as other Thai curry's I have had and seemed more like one that I would make at home. My husband chicken was dry, not very flavoursome and the chips were just bog standard chips. Wasn't exactly cheap at £13 for chicken and chips. The salt and pepper chicken wings were a joke, 3 chicken wings just deep fried and were crispy as anything with a tiny bit of salt on them. I was expecting the traditional salt and pepper with fresh chilli, salt spring onion etc. The squid although well cooked was the same, nothing salt and pepper about it. Seems a bit of a mix match and I think this place needs to decide whether or not it's a Thai restaurant or a steak house. I felt like our chips and squid were something we would get in a pub then a Thai curry that was like a witherspoons one! Cost us £34 for a bog standard meal, unfortunately won't be going again.

We came on the first night of reopening as we had missed the food so much! They have obviously done a lot to make the restaurant covid secure and we felt very comfortable. Service wonderful and friendly as always. We had all our favourites, prawn crackers, Tom kha soup (which is just divine) spring rolls, then the haw tok malay and pad thai. The food was possibly better than ever, and we are so happy that they are back open, especially now they are on morecambe eats so we can get delivery. Highly recommended if you love Thai food, or a steak as the ones they serve are huge!

We've only ever eaten takeaway because of Covid-19 lockdown, but the Thai food is absolutely delicious. We would happily eat in once a month in the near future. It's the most exciting restaurant in Morecambe in our opinion. Makes a nice change from fish & chips and kebab shops. Only disappointed that the spring roll starter was not fresh and it was way overpriced for the portion size.

We ate at the Black Stone Grill on Thursday evening, our waitress was fantastic, she was knowledgeable about the food ........... the food!! We ordered Koong Makam -king prawns with tamarind sauce - delicious, also fillet steak cooked on a hot stone at the table, great fun and also delicious. Dessert was deep fried bananas with syrup, ice cream etc. The whole meal was just perfect, the food, the service and the wine. Very highly recommended

Had a meal here on our visit to Morecambe a few weeks ago. The evening started so well, being shown efficiently to a nice table, being served with a nice bottle of wine, lovely starters, we were generally impressed with the place. However, I ordered scallops for my main course which sadly were very undercooked and were inedible. When the waitress came to clear the plates away, obviously she could see that my plate was virtually untouched and I told her that the scallops were inedible. No one came back to our table for an age to ask if we wanted a dessert, coffee or even to bring the bill. We tried to attract someone’s attention several times but staff looked everywhere apart from our direction. Once, after a good half hour, we did manage to attract someone’s attention, instead of bringing the dessert menu they just put the bill wordlessly on the table. As we had been charged full price for the meal, I again explained that my main course had been inedible. The waitress then came back wordlessly with an amended bill with a £9 reduction. We have no idea where this amount came from- it wasn’t even half the price of the dish. We paid this, as we had no desire to stay in the establishment any longer, but wondered how they could justify charging us for this dish when it was clearly inedible. No apology was given at any time and so consequently we won’t be returning.

The service here was great, the only downside was the food, it’s not a criticism as such, but the crispy duck wasn’t crispy, but was surprised to see it on a Thai menu, the Pad Med Mamuang came with pineapples, the menu doesn’t say it does, so unfortunately that completely ruined the main. The steaks looked tasty, would have had steak, but there was little to accompany it, and no starters etc.. the rest was all Thai/Chinese.

Well after being recommended to this place, we were slightly underwhelmed with the food and the surroundings! The decor has seen better days and there is a whole top floor with things piled high , chairs cooking utensils and a child's play equipment.,which is where the toilets are so you have to walk past it all.The food was very ordinary and quite expensive for what you got, the best was the prawn toast and that was the cheapest. The staff did their best with what they have been given , also if you were looking for a nice dessert, they don't do them! Would not go back.

After reading the reviews we decided to give this place a go. We were shown upstairs to a table with a great view over the bay. The downside of being upstairs is that it is absolutely freezing. We'd taken our jackets off but had to put them back on. We noticed that everyone else had thick jumpers, hoodies etc, must have been before. Our food arrived, it was well presented and delicious but was not particularly warm so within 5 minutes it was pretty cold. We explained to the waitress why we had left our food and asked if it could be bagged. She apologised for the lack of heating but we were disappointed that none of the management came to see us. We paid our bill, went downstairs and straightaway the warmth hit us. Great food, fantastic view but please arrange some heating upstairs

Absolutely wonderful food. The best Thai I have had and impeccable service as well. I had salt and pepper squid which would not be out of place in a pricey London restaurant followed by a soft shell crab in a beautiful yellow curry sauce. Sticky rice cooked to perfection. I honestly couldn’t praise this food more. The service followed all the rules that 90% of places fail to follow and was friendly, efficient but not unnecessarily intrusive. Proper hidden gem.
