Visited with my husband and 2 year old son. Lovely, historic pub with open fire and friendly staff. However, two roast dinners and sausage & mash took an hour to arrive despite being the second people to order. There was no warning of a delay...More

Cosy, comfortable pub, serving good quality, reasonably priced food and drinks. My last few visits here have been very enjoyable with very friendly staff. One prior bad experience with a staff member, was dealt with professionally by the manager.

Only came here for drinks. Good range of ales with a nice, friendly atmosphere. When we were in, they had a rather good singer belting out some seasonal tunes.

Nice cosy pub, food was good, staff other than one older lady were miserable and we waited quite a while to be given our table whilst two of the younger staff stood chatting.

Characterful and enticing from the outside, less welcoming once inside. Service at the bar was a little frosty. Toilets cold and leaky. Worst of all, lager was flat and had a sour aftertaste. In fairness, my pint was replaced with an apology but the result...More
