A very welcoming & cosy set up. The menu is fab & the food & service are even better. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you, to Jasper, Joery, and the team, for some amazing experiences over the last eight years. We have thoroughly enjoyed eating some amazing food, and we, along with many others, are going to miss you. We hope whatever you do next brings you equally great success, as I'm absolutely sure it will. All... More

Our last memorable beguiling meal from Joery. A tasting menu worthy of the name with high quality ingredients in sharp contrasts to enchant the palate. Over the past 8 years the brothers have provided a singular experience at their quirky basement restaurant. We wish them the very best for the future and hope they return to cooking for us later... We have been promising to come to The Boathouse for almost a year and finally booked a table. Having eaten in many "fine dining" restaurants over the years we generally find ourselves at one of two extremes : either a total let down or an absolute triumph. The Boathouse was very much a triumph. Whilst sadly quiet on our lunchtime... More

We have enjoyed The Boathouse since it's opening a few years ago. Beautiful food, unique little location, great service and the best chef in town. So sad to hear that The Boathouse is closing in a month. If you haven't had a chance to experience it then you are missing out! We've already booked our table for closing night.

The boys are certainly going out with a bang .. Only tasting menu available but don't let this deter you a beautiful well balance choice and there is still a veggie option which my daughter went into raptures about . Get in quick before they go at the end of October otherwise you will miss a wonderful dinner experience .

GCSE treat night for myself and the mini teen. If you've not been to The Boathouse, this is a must before the doors shut. Wow, wow, wow! The Vegetarian Tasting Menu went down a storm, totally unique. I opted for the Tasting menu parred with wines, it was refreshing that our courses were so similar and made for a great... More

Could not fault it... everything was perfect. Great food beautifully prepared. Not too big a venue.. quite intimate. More than I usually spend but did not regret a penny.

Booked at short notice on a Friday night on spec and we were not disappointed. We opted for the 3 course for £35.00 which isn't cheap but it was surprisingly good. Chowder and halibut starter, Hake and Eel mains, Ganache and strawberries to follow. We sampled some thin Irish gin and enjoyed our Picpoul De Pinet. Being tourists we are... More

Saddened to read in today's Belfast Telegraph that this fine establishment is to close in October to give Joery a break.. here's hoping he will find it in his heart to return with batteries recharged
