Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Recently booked Sunday lunch, with no hassle at all plenty of time slots available, I do not know how as this has to be the best Sunday lunch I’ve had in years. We ordered starters and main was the silverside roast beef with all the...trimmings. It was beyond perfect! I never order roast beef as it’s always not cooked to my liken but this roast beef was butter in your mouth. The staff are super attentive / anything at lol you request extra gravy / sides / sauces. No problem at all! Can’t wait to come back it is a must if your looking for a hearty Sunday lunch! You will not leave hungry and Great prices 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙂🙂🙂❤️More

Excellent spot in a seaside town! Donegans serves food all day, during the early part of Saturday you eat downstairs in the bar and the evenings you can eat upstairs. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is to much trouble. The menu is...good pub food, the menu isn’t to extensive which is a credit as you aren’t swamped with choice but there is something for everyone. A roast dinner, your goujons, a curry fish and chips. There is starters and deserts. Service is smooth and efficient and it has a proper family feel. Highly recommendedMore

Once again a delicious family birthday celebration meal enjoyed at Donegan's, efficiently served by Ivan, Amy and the rest of staff who can never do enough for you. Our 4th trip in as many weeks, with family and friends for our daughters 4th birthday. We...were there at start of December, Christmas eve, New Years Eve for Lunch and then 6th January. Never fails. And I have been adventurous from my old favourite of Sirloin and went for Prawn Open Sandwich, Lasagne, Burger and then most recently the Surf & Turf. Even had a Calypso coffee on one visit which was exceptional. As is the Guinness.. All have been thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent high quality Food, generous portions, first class friendly Service and when we ask in our house where we should go for dinner its always 'Donegans!' If you haven't experienced Donegan's, you are missing out. A real gem, and that's why it has such loyal clientele.More

We visited Donegan’s for the first time on Saturday… and loved everything about it. The friendly bar staff were amazing, and raised a smile from us (and others) for their dancing behind the bar on Saturday night. There was also free music bingo on the Saturday...night which was very enjoyable. In fact we liked the place so much we returned for Sunday lunch. I had a chicken stack, and my husband had the turkey and ham dinner. Both were delicious and very generously portioned. It was our first visit but definitely won’t be our last.More

We wandered in on the off chance of being able to snag a table and got lucky. The guy who seated us and mostly attended to us - Ivan - really helped make it a wonderful dining experience for us, even asking us if we...wanted more sauce or veg. All the staff were lovely in fact. As for the food - we both had the O'Hara's Chicken and it was superb. Lovely spot, wonderful staff, and fantastic food.More

Fantastic lunch menu and huge portions! As always Ivan, Amy and all the staff are always amazing. We wouldn't go anywhere else in Bangor as a family for lunch or dinner. Our two girls are also the biggest fans, their kids menu is brilliant.

Popped in and got seated in bar promptly. Basic pub grub menu but portions very generous. Prawn cocktail was great. Lasagne came with garlic bread And a side of choice of potatoes….Would have preferred a choice of Sunday Roasts - only Beef option and No...vegetarian option eg nut roast (just veg). Staff were excellent- checking we had drinks, food was okay etc.More

Few minutes walk. Turn left from The Marine Court Entrance, then left onto High Street. It's on the left hand side about 150 yard up.
