Lovely food but not the sort of restaurant to visit if you like nice decor/ surroundings ! Friendly owner but he just puts me off my food looking at his unkempt and slightly dirty dress sense !! Tidy up your appearance and re decorate because your food is really quite good !

We had to delay celebrating the New Year in our usual way (at Maliwan Thai) due to illness. However, it was worth the wait & we had a really good "Thaime"! Never disappoints and the staff at the restaurant work hard to ensure satisfaction. Koh kum kah!!

I small really good little gem amongst the restaurants in Macclesfield. Don't let the modest look of the restaurant fool you. The food is one of the best if not the best Thai food I've eaten. If you only in town for one night go here.

Our grandson chose the Maliwan, his favourite restaurant and we were not disappointed. The standard is consistent, the quality is good and the service is friendly. Each time we visit Macclesfield, we invariably eat here and will continue to do so!

Been to countless Thai restaurants and this one is awful ! Food was not tasty at all and portion sizes are for children ! Very disappointed by the manAger too - very obnoxious and doesn't care about customer view .

We have been making regular trips to the Maliwan since it opened! Never fails to disappoint-quality of food (cooked by Maliwan & supported by the kitchen staff) plus the knowledge of Mark if help is required to choose a wine to accompany your dishes made the decision to come for a New Year's Eve meal (early) very easy!

This is a popular restaurant. The service is efficient and the food is freshly cooked. The manager is quite a character, don't mistake his dry humour for rudeness. The restaurant is a short walk from the bus station and the train station. There is a large pay & display car park a few yards away, so parking should be easy... More

Great little restaurant close to the railway station. Ate there on Friday evening. Received a very friendly welcome from the front of house. Efficient service and excellent food.
