I was a bit worried over the summer when I saw the menu was all griddled, so was pleased last night to take our daughter out for her birthday. Food was really good and service excellent. Very inventive menu, pork belly, the mussels and crown...roast were excellent.More

Just never disappoints. Probably my favourite pub in the UK. Everything just works - the food, the staff and the general feel of this fantastic pub.

Visited Monday lunchtime, quite busy, v friendly staff, comfortable bar and dining room, menu as on line, we ate beef short rib and sirloin sandwich, both BBQ’d, meat was beautiful esp the beef, large portions, all served with a good pint of Proper Job. An...excellent lunch, we would strongly recommend here and will revisit.More

This is a wonderful pub with terrific food, lovely staff and in a special setting. However a recent visit was spoiled by a couple coming in for lunch in the bar area with a medium sized dog who they would not leave alone allowing it...to put it paws on the dining table, jump on their lap continuously, get in the way of others. The dog was generally fawned over in loud voices which got it even more worked up and it became even more frazzled by all this attention. and would not sit still. Diners in the bar area were fed up by all this fuss. In the end we could take this nonsense no longer and left without ordering lunch. On leaving I did make mention of our disquiet to the manager. It is great that dogs are allowed pubs but perhaps a (humorous) sign could be on display that dogs must be well behaved and not disturb others although in this case it was the owners who were to blame, not the poor dog.More

This was our third visit to the St Kew Inn and it won’t be our last. This is an incredible place, with a fantastic atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food. I need to avoid gluten so the server spoke to the chef and they could...tailor the majority of the menu for me. They made it easy and produced wonderful food without a fuss. Massively impressive and absolutely phenomenal quality food perfectly cooked. We can’t wait to return and this place is rapidly becoming our favourite place for an excellent experience. Thanks to the amazing team.More

Not our first visit here and there’s a reason to keep coming back. Wonderful pub in a beautiful location and serving great food. Feels like they have taken their food and presentation up a level and it really shows. Portions were very generous and everything...good perfectly. One tiny criticism is the cocktail I had tasted pre blended, but everything else, from welcome, service, food and ambience was faultlessMore

A really lovely country pub tucked away in a traditional Cornish village. The welcome, staff, food and service was all excellent. Great tasting meals and the desserts were epic. Lovely spot and very dog friendly.

Definitely worth the drive and visit! Easy to find and also a stunning building in a small village. The atmosphere is laid back and quality. The bar area is cosy and welcoming. Recommend you make a reservation, we aimed for 19:30 after a long day...walking. We sat in their bar area first and enjoyed some local beer and pork scratchings, which are made fresh and onsite in their kitchen. The starters were difficult to choose from, but we had the Caesar salad and crab meat Welsh rarebit which were both phenomenal. If there are two of you going I would definitely recommend doing the beef short rib. It’s massive and the best one I’ve tried…not to mention the Gherkin Gravy!More

Wow - This has to be on everyone’s “Bucket List” who visits Bodmin / Padstow area. Set in a quaint little Picturesque Village this Pub was a GEM. The Food was of an Astonishing High Level with Flavours none of us have ever eaten before....I can’t praise chef enough with our 3 starters of rarebit: courgettes / & salmon. Then when mains came it blew us away. Hake & John Dorey we’re amazing but I’ve never tasted a pork belly like that in my Life… accompanying sauces were delicious. On top of the A ⭐️ food, Service was Faultless. Great Knowledge by all members & so organised throughout. Can’t wait to return in week before end of our Holiday. Rick Stein pubs could learn a lot from this Gem of a Pub.More

I have seen dogs in and outside the St. Kew Inn. Not too sure what the policy is, as I do not have a dog!
