This is a charming little local French restaurant. The service was very good and the ambience was lovely, only a few tables but a nice atmosphere. What stood out though was the food. I've eaten in many Michelin star restaurants including Le Gavroche, and I...can honestly say the food here was better. The Magret de Canard was a masterpiece of fine dining, the balance of flavours, textures and presentation was amazing. The scallops for starter was divine as well, beautiful rich flavours and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommended.More

Booked on recommendation of friends to entertain visitor from Sweden. What a complete disappointment. Clearly understaffed the service was very slow. When the food eventually arrived the escargots were cold and had to be returned. All three main courses 2 duck and 1 steak were...overcooked and dry. It was as if the food had been sitting under a heater in the kitchen for some time! The waiters really did not seem bothered so we just ate what was in front of us - paid and left!! Very very poor attitude. We will not be returning.More

Chez Lindsay consistently serves the most exquisite dishes. The presentation is superb, as is the taste and quality of the ingredients. Halibut with king prawns, caviar and spinach in a beurre blanc sauce was divine. Samantha and Guru are such lovely people. What a wonderful...way to spend a Sunday evening. Thank you. I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be between 7 and 9 pm on a January Sunday!More

A very disappointing experience, overall, especially for the price they charge. Came here, looking at the rating on Google and that was a huge mistake. The key issue is food, which was just bad. I visited tens of French restaurants and bistro all across France...and other countries, and the quality of food here was, probably, the worst. Our main course was Magret de Canard (Duck Breast), it was very tough and dry. The waiting time was also very bad, we had to wait almost 45 minutes till we got the main course. We paid £93 for everything, which was very high for the quality we got. Avoid!More

A pleasant and relaxed French restaurant. The menu and concept are not dissimilar to Côte, but with the addition of a wide choice of savoury galettes and sweet crepes. Prices are fair.

A group of 20 friends - we booked for a private dinner upstairs. Everything was faultless - the room and table all beautifully set, service was very professional, somehow Laurent knew precisely when anyone needed anything, the food was timed to perfection with a great...choices of dishes. No pre-ordering was required and portions for all 3 courses were generous and delicious. The whole evening was such a success, we are hoping to make it an annual event and look forward to doing it all again ! Thank you to Lindsay and her wonderful team.More

Having eaten at Chez Lindsay a number of times we used their function room to host our wedding party for dinner. There were 18 of us and Lindsay provided us with an excellent choice of food and wine from her menu just for us. We...had numerous chats about which food we wanted to offer our guests and the best wine for those choices and of course champagne to start with. The function room was nicely decorated and every one of our guests loved the food and the entire setup. The staff were very efficient and courteous and we just didn't want to leave. We now have to find another occasion to use the function room as hopefully not getting married again anytime soon,More

We would certainly go again. This is a Breton restaurant, so a focus on savoury Galettes and sweet crepes (ie Pancakes either savoury or sweet) which make for a very pleasant cost-effective meal in a French environment. Also, staff were friendly and attentive even though...we were the last customers of the evening. And wonder of wonders nowadays, the music and customer overall volume was gentle, allowing for restful conversation.More

I keep coming back to Chez Lindsay for the innovative menu and attentive staff. In addition to galettes and crepes from the Breton region of Northern France, the menu blends the familiar with eclectic offerings that offer a unique twist of complex flavors.
