Visited friends and took them out to this gem of a restaurant. The food is excellent, just as confirmed by all other reviews, the service friendly and warm. 12 (twelve) courses: first salad, then antipasti, then seafood, then pasta, then main course of suckling pig (shown whole to restaurant, before carving), then desert. OMG. Only 40 seats, so we felt... More

We were here for a 50th birthday lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There were 10 at our table and the rest of the (tiny) restaurant was packed also - probably about 40-50 people in there in total. On our table alone there was one garlic-free person, one gluten-free and one vegetarian and this restaurant does not have a menu -... More

From the moment we rang the doorbell and were warmly invited in by our friendly Romanian hostess it was obvious that this was not a restaurant dinner but a gastonomical family experience. Course after course of mouthwatering Italian food accompanied by great wines, jovial hosts and family traditions - be prepared to indulge your senses in every way. Amazing!!

Arrive hungry, that is the first rule.... hungry and thirty. There will be lots of exceptionally authentic wonderful food delivered over a period of many hours to your table (so don't overload the bread at the beginning of the evening). The owner/waitress is wonderful and full of dominant Italian vibrance. The food is authentic, the wine picked with thought and... More

I was taken here as a treat for my birthday and absolutely blown away by both the food and the service. It's a fairly small restaurant, with one sitting and a tasting menu for all. It's so exciting being able to smell all the delicious food and not knowing what you're going to get. I lost count of courses -... More

Very welcoming host(s) and the atmosphere vibrant and fun - even a violinist performing in-between courses prompting song and cheer in the restaurant. Many courses are served which started off excellently (cured meats with olive oil, bruschetta, roast artichokes and courgettes and lovely breads) but as the various courses were served, the quality as the evening progressed became notably poor... My second visit was not disappointing. We made 11 courses this time and each one small and delicious. Great atmosphere. Not a place for a small intimate dinner, go with a group of friends and revel in the party.

What can I say that hasn't been said? This is my favourite Italian restaurant, simple clear and plentiful. I most also mention the wine available, what a fabulous selection, for the second time we had a barolo and what a fabulous wine it was

Make sure you are hungry when you arrive at this amazing restaurant - each dish is wonderful, freshly served and great food just keeps arriving! I don't eat shellfish and was more than happy to miss this course, but a wonderful salad appeared as an alternative - not necessary at all but very much appreciated. The restaurant is cozy, great...
