We booked for our daughter's birthday and as always excellent food, cocktails and excellent service. Gracie our waitress was attentive without being intrusive, and was polite and sociable. It's the attention to details that sets the Rock and Rose apart from the rest: example of...this is the team going out of their way to say Happy birthday to our daughter on arrival and again when we left. Always our go to restaurant.More

We went for an anniversary late afternoon lunch. Lovely food and service. We were greeted by friendly staff, food was amazing and we even had a glass of fizz given to us each to celebrate. Very thoughtful. Great experience.

My fiancée took me for dinner here after he proposed last year. They made the evening so lovely and we had a delicious meal and some cocktails. Was all a whirlwind. We thought we’d go back last night as a ‘2 week before we get...married’ date. I said this to the lovely gent in a jazzy shirt when we booked and asked for the table in the window. He sat us on the night actually and was amazing. We indeed sat by the window and kindly got 2 glasses of bubbly! So kind and thoughtful. We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and they made us a great surprise. Also, it was an amazing service, amazing food and drinks! We had a wonderful experience!

Won’t be going again. We booked this to celebrate our friends recent engagement which I noted to the restaurant when I made the booking. When we arrival a staff member told me they were doing something as a gesture to say congratulations. We had 2...glasses of Prosecco with sparklers come out which was lovely. However it wasn’t so lovely when we realised we had been charged £9 per glass after we had paid. Also the waitress who took our bill charged each couple £5 more than what half the bill was (again we didn’t realise until after we had left) so we were charged an extra £10 on top of the £32 service charge we had already paid. The drinks are good but the food is very average & not worth the price.More

5 star service! My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last night with an absolutely delicious meal and excellent service. I hadn't been for a couple of years. Rock & Rose has lost its ambience and become very tired looking. The glass tables have food underneath the glass. The whole place needs a refresh. Cocktails are still amazing, as is the food. Service isn't what...it used to be, no smiles, removing plates while others haven't finished. No more glamour.More

What an amazing place, went with three work colleagues for a few drinks and dinner and wow! The cocktails are amazing, such attention to detail and the service was outstanding, food is really good to, can highly recommend this place.

This place is beautifully decorated and the food had mixed reviews over our table but mostly on the average side, my biggest issue was that I informed the waiting staff straight from the start of my lactose intolerance. I picked a meal that didn’t have...anything dairy related in its description, nor do they have any symbols on the menu to help. So when given my dinner I was slightly suspicious of what looked like a creamy sauce and mash potato. I had a small taste as I would like to think I could trust the staff to essentially not poison me but the taste was clear it was. It took quite an amount of time to get attention from the staff in which time I had eaten the meat and chips I ordered on the side (as no mention of mash) I asked the waitress was this dairy, her face immediately answered the question and she went for her manager. The woman who came over I found quite blase to the situation she stood at the end of the table saying nothing for at least a minute then asked “was everything ok”, when I asked did my meal infact have dairy she informed me it did. I was offered another meal but at this point everyone had finished their dinners so I didn’t want to be left eating alone and I was pretty full on chips at this point. I was also offered pudding of which they don’t offer a dairy free one other than sorbet (which dosent really count) when I sed no to this also she sed ok and just left. I don’t leave bad reviews but after then suffering for the next few days from the small amount I had and this woman not taking it seriously I feel like I need to warn others who’s allergies could have far more serious consequences than my own.More

The food and drinks were only excellent at this place.. we did not experience excellent Service by the serving food staff.. the staff at the bar were at least better and polite! The place was stuffed with too many tables that people were bumping other...tables while walking and of course the big vase in the middle was a little too much for a cramped place! Overall would like to visit again but only seat at the bar!More
