The food was incredible, so big thumbs up to the Chefs. The melted camembert and herbs was out of this world. But if you asked me if I'd go there again, I'd have to say no. The service was just a joke. It was like being in Faulty Towers. 10pm on a Saturday night and we haven't even ordered deserts... More

Dreadful burned overcooked venison burger and peculiar sweet potato fries. Not cooked through. If this is the standard of their cooking eat at home first !!

Great place to go with or without the kids, on a sunny or wet day. Always good food and friendly staff. Large beer garden to rear with covered area. Sunday lunches must book

The two of us walked in on a Saturday evening without booking and got a table which was a nice surprise. The decor and atmosphere is very pleasant and the service very good. Our food was excellent and the prices were normal, however the wine is expensive. What is weird is that when you order a bottle of wine, they... More

The quality of service has plummeted- it took over an hour for food to arrive at lunchtime today. No explanation provided. And kids running everywhere - no parental or management control anywhere! It's a pity as this used to be a good place for lunch in the summer. The expansion has spent more time on eating / drinking space but... More

We had a terrible experience at the Marlborough last night. At 9pm on a Friday night there were large groups of young children running and shouting unsupervised through both the restaurant and bar area constantly. When you go out for an expensive meal and its 9pm on a Friday, its totally unacceptable. There does not appear to be any management... More

Arrived for lunch around midday. The waiter was very friendly (Dylan) and attentive he served us for drinks and our meal order. We both ordered the vegetarian option which was very tasty. The wine we selected was very good. The garden is fantastic, dogs are welcome saying that, if a dog starts barking at other dogs I personally believe the... More

A really enjoyable time was had by all with good food and good service. In spite of the rain we were able to use the garden which was a good overflow space from the conservatory.

We're a couple and visited on late on a Monday night so it was probably the quietest time but it did give us the chance to look around and to see the potential for a future visit - the garden is simply huge with proper, comfortable dining furniture great for group get-togethers and dining. The interior is nicely decorated in... More

We went for dinner with friends on a balmy evening and the place is absolutely beautiful with a unique outside area. Unfortunately the amount of effort and money put into the ambience is not matched by the food quality. The menu is totally uninspiring making food choice difficult. Our venison burgers were burned and overcooked with soggy buns, salad garnish... More
