Just had a meal at The Rising Sun, although it was just Fish and Chips it was one of the best I've had in a long time. I can't wait to try something else on the menu on my next visit. The service was very good, just ask for Sam, someone who knows how to treat a customer.

Having booked a table in the restaurant, and asking for more drinks while we waited for our food, the waiter told us that I probably wouldn't be possible as he had other tables to serve! The food ( ribs) was very poor, worst ribs I have ever been served.

The restaurant is good value. This is not a gastro-pub so the fare hear reflects that but it is well cooked and reasonably priced. We had the chicken and chorizo pie when we dined there recently. My criticism would be that hot water pastry made the pie rather heavy and a bit indigestible for my wife. That aside the portions... More

Last night we visited the Rising Sun for a small family meal. We've heard lots of great things about their steaks so thought we'd give it a try! I ordered my steak medium rare, my husband ordered medium well done and I must say they both came out perfectly! We were thrilled how tasty they were! Staff were extremely friendly... More

Been coming here for donkeys years. Great local pub. Lots of drinkers but food isn't so bad either. Friendly staff and probably the best pub in the village.
