Food was banging and the drink selection is top tier, great pub in an amazing location there's an alpaca farm across the road if your interested in visiting.

Had a lovely lunch from the menu with quite a few unusual choices. The staff were very attentive and we felt welcome and appreciated. Would definitely recommend

Our Sunday lunch was lovely, I had the vegetarian option which was good too . Very very friendly, comfortable pub, will def visit again.

I am a regular customer at the pub and have been for over a year, the new management are extremely welcoming and the food is always good. The menu is mostly a typical brewery chain pub menu so may not be to some gastro types'...taste but is always tasty and filling and enjoyable for me! There is nearly always space to sit somewhere quiet if needed as there are several sections of the pub and dogs are welcome with good provision of towels and mats for them.More

Great place. Clean,bright with prompt service. I had a gluten free Sunday roast which was delicious. Meat was tender, presentation appetising. Best gluten free roast I have ever eaten. Recommend this if you would like a very tasty meal.More

I didn't think the food could get better but this cosiest lunch ticks all the boxes. Called in today and was delighted! It's still our 'go to' place. Excellent staff too.More

The mussels were very high quality. Well cooked. The sauce might have been a little thicker (but I stress that is a personal view)

We visited today on August Bank Holiday Monday with 6 kids, who at the end of the summer holidays were rather loud and annoying (I’m talking about my own children). The staff were so accommodating, they were great with the kids and every member of...staff made us feel relaxed and very welcome. We are also those annoying people that have ‘dietary requirements’ and after asking a lovely female member of staff I was kindly and knowledgeably walked through the menu and given several options, which usually never happens. Service was brilliant and the food was spot on. JWL need to put more about Gluten Free dishes on the website as I always check the menu before I go anywhere, to make sure I can eat at least one dish, if I had known about all on offer I’d have been here much sooner. We’ll be back, hopefully minus the kids.More

We have been going to the Plough and Flail for 12 years and seen it go through many ups and downs. We haven't eaten here for a while, so we weren't quite sure what to expect when we ordered two Sunday roasts yesterday. I am...very happy to report that they were absolutely delicious! Definitely one of the best, if not THE best, meals we've ever had there. The food was beautifully presented and we didn't have to wait long inspite of being warned that they were busy. The staff were really friendly and the service was very efficient. We will definitely be back to eat there more often now this fantastic pub is back on form!More

Visited this restaurant for the first time since lockdown and were most impressed. Food and service were excellent with quiet music in the background unlike some establishments. Will definitely return in the near future.More
