Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for a special lunch with friends and were very disappointed. The shrimp with garlic appetizer was lousy, the pate was so-so. Salmon entrees were totally overcooked and came with 2 shrimp that looked like they'd taken heads off of one shrimp and placed...them next to another shrimp's overcooked body. Service was marginal and they tried to charge us for a bottle of wine we didn't order (a couple sitting next to us didn't finish their bottle and they gave what they didn't drink to us). Very expensive for what you get. We will never go back.More

Very basic food for a high price. Service wasn't great, the old man was very kind, but the girl wanted to go home as quick as possible.

We had dinner at nou portet restaurant for dinner. We sat outside on the terrace. The owner greeted us warmly at the front steps. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was excellent! Two of us had the lamb shank, one the steak taco....We all had dessert and they were to die for. The restaurant is kind of out of the way but well worth the drive if you are anywhere in the area.More

Ate twice here on a recent holiday to the Xaló area. Lovely outdoor seating are with views of the mountains. Dinner was excellent value - three courses of delicious food, thoughtfully presented, with wine or soft drink included in the set menu. Service is very...warm and friendly. Recommended!More

We have been going to this restaurant for many years now. We’ve always had lovely food and the waiters/waitresses have been great and very attentive, until last night. The waitress was very rude and not very helpful.Amongst other issues with her, the most stupid was....We ordered the lamb my husband didn’t want the baked potato ( 3 large slices of roast type potatoes) he wanted mashed potato instead, mash came with other meals. She argued with us saying it’s not possible to exchange the potatoes, the dish only came with those potatoes and could not be changed. So my husband purchased a portion of mash ( one scoop for €1.50 ) When the dish came out it still had the 3 baked potatoes with the meal. And she bought out the mashed potato on a separate plate how ridiculous and petty. We would of stayed for dessert and coffee , but because we felt she spoilt the evening for us we left ( loosing the restaurant money) . As there was four of us.More

After many years eating in this restaurant I am sad to write this post. Because of its usual high standards we chose to spend our Wedding Anniversary there 38 years! Sadly our experience ruined our evening. Being a fish lover I ordered Dorada, it was...so over cooked I could have picked it up off the plate and beaten someone with it. Waiter came and asked if all was good with the meal and I said sadly no, its not up to your usual standard. He shook his shoulders turned his back...that was that. We asked for bill and we were charged full price for a meal I did not eat with a glass of Cava. Normally I do not write negative reviews but put out that I have emailed them and private messaged with no reply. We live here and things can go wrong sometimes but please deal with caring attitude to clients who have spent alot of money over the years!More

We enjoyed a tasty menu del dia on the terrace. A large menu to choose from. Pretty views towards the mountains and Parcent. Friendly staff. We would certainly go back.

First time here and it won't be the last! A well put together 3 course menu, price depending on the cost of the main course. Vegetarian menu too. Under 20 euros gave me a delicious lunch of bread, alioli, an amuse bouche, then a starter...of filo wrapped vegetables, a main of salmon in a bed of spinach, and a light coconut cake to finish. Excellent local white wine, a glass came with the menu del dia, but we opted to have the whole bottle. We were seated inside with windows opened wide to a view of the hills. The lamb shank is highly recommended too. Such a welcoming place with charming staff, we are so glad we found it. We will definitely be back!More

You know the bitter aftertaste (that can hang around for hours) you get with some aliolis? Well, you won't experience that at Nou Portet. Their alioli is the best we have ever had: smooth, creamy, not bitter, with a nice green tint thanks to the...parsley. It was served with a warm roll (which I know I shouldn't have as well as three courses) and it was delicious. We were greeted by Karin, a charming French lady who was so friendly and welcoming - she really is a breath of fresh air after the many surly waiters we have encountered over the years. We had the Saturday menu del dia, which was E14.90 for pan y alioli, three courses and a drink, which was great value. I had the goat's cheese salad, which was super; green Thai fish curry, again, delicious; and coconut cake. I don't usually eat dessert, but it was a light cake and perfectly acceptable. My husband had chicken pate, which he said was tasty, but it would have been better served with homemade melba toasts rather than shop-bought crackers. His Chicken Milanesa was huge: two pieces of chicken and a large serving of fried potatoes and green beans. He said it was very good, nice and hot and very filling. He had profiteroles for pudding, which he enjoyed. The glasses of wine were generous. The restaurant is set back from the the road, which isn't particularly busy, but I can't help wondering why the people who built it originally didn't construct the dining terrace on the other side of the building facing the mountain and nicer view. However, that aside, we could not fault the service from Karin and the other very pleasant young waiter, the quality of the food for the price and the overall experience. We will definitely return.More

I went with a friend here and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. Very good service and a great menu al dia as well as a regular menu. All fresh and beautifully presented. Will definitely go back. Our hearts go out to all the...good restaurants that are struggling during this difficult time due to the virus and we want to support them as much as possible.More

Lunch after our hike on the Cavall Verd. We had two starters, main courses and deserts to mix and share a little bit and all 6 dishes were just excellent. Staff is very friendly and the terrace nice and quiet, away from the touristic coast....We enjoyed it very much!More

We visited on Saturday lunchtime and had a delicious meal, the lamb was so tender, beautifully cooked with caramelised veg, all lovely, followed by the tarta de la casa, a gorgeous coconut cake with ice-cream. There is plenty of parking and a lovely shady terrace,...well worth taking a trip into the jalon valley and visiting this excellent restaurant, we will be returning!!More
