Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just stopped in on the off chance for an evening meal, so glad we did . What a find ! The landlady was friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. We loved it so much we persuaded her to let us go back for...breakfast. They haven’t had the Inn very long, although they have been in the business quite awhile you could tell they love it.More

The place is under new management and we went along with high hopes that it would be as good as before, but next time we may look at going elsewhere instead, sadly. The pigeon breast starter was plain and simple and very nice though the...mushroom underneath was very greasy. Just the right amount of pink to keep the meat tender. The liver was overcooked, with no pink and therefore rather too firm, not good. This should be easy to get right. Also plain and simple with good red cabbage and mash, it could have been pepped up a bit with seasoning/spice. Sticky toffee pudding with generous amount of pecans was great, while the hazelnut brulée was not a happy combination. The service was fine and friendly, except that when the waitress asked after our meal she just said "OK" and moved on to both my comment that the liver could have been cooked less and my husband's that it was overcooked. A training point perhaps. For the price we would have liked proper napkins, perhaps a sweetmeat at the end, and the bill presented better than a rolled up scrap!More

Very disappointing, three courses served within 55 minutes. No offer of more drinks. Norfolk restaurant week here is a let down

We have been coming to the Duck for years and always loved the food so we’re concerned when it changed hands.. there was no need. We ate lunch on Saturday with friends, menu and food exceptional. We then booked in for Sunday lunch , the...first time I can ever remember having proper crunchy roast potatoes, I can honestly say it was the best Sunday lunch I have ever had eating out, the whole lunch was glorious. We then ate again the following Wednesday where again the food was fabulous. I am also pleased to note the Duck is more dog friendly with more tables to accommodate dogs and I understand the bedrooms will also accept dogs once refurbished. Management and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We cannot wait to return soon. Well done to the new management yiu have done a fabulous job with menu, staff, food and we love the new decor 😊More

What an absolute gem of a find. This is probably the best all round meal I have had for a long time. Food excellent, service above and beyond. It was our anniversary and they fitted us in with short notice. Thank you so much, a...very special cosy meal. Thank you for the fizz!More

Quite possibly the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had in a pub. Fresh and lovely. They even got the Yorkshire pudding right which is unusual outside Yorkshire. I would highly recommend this place. Under new management I believe.

We called in today to see if we could book a table for dinner as we were staying at the campsite next door. So welcoming. The chap behind the bar and the young lady were very friendly. We stayed for a few drinks and then...sampled some of their own homemade gins and rums. Absolutely delicious. We went back for dinner at 7, the food was delicious. Service was great. The dessert was to die for. We had a lovely experience and had several chats with the staff/new owners. May go back for Sunday lunch. Well done. We will definitely be back.More

There were 5 of us and our starters were great, the roast beef was pink and delicious slightly more than some other local pubs....Good choice of wine/ champagne, staff were attentive and smiley. We visited on a Sunday evening and both had the roast beef. It has to be one of the best Sunday roasts we have ever eaten. The beef was delicious and cooked beautifully pink. The amount and variety of vegetables were terrific and again cooked...perfectly. What a fabulous meal.More

I'd agree. We popped in for lunch with our 2 dogs and there were already a couple of dogs in there and a couple more came in while we were eating. There is a separate area for folk who don't appreciate dogs.
