Views are great but food is only moderate, I found the sir William pub down the road far exceeds the quality of food and the service

Went for lunch here mid week arriving at midday. It is so popular we had to wait for a table for half an hour, but definitely worth it. We had the fish and chips which were large but beautifully cooked with crispy batter. Gorgeous. Will...More

The Barrel is situated high on a ridge with spectacular views and great home cooked pub style food. We had the Sunday roast, probably the best we have ever eaten in a pub, followed by a delicious apple and sultana crumble. It was extremely busy...More

Hi yes we have taken our dog in there, who is a small terrier, but on the next table there was a pointer and a lab. From this I would say all sized dogs are welcome, as long as they are well behaved.
