As the title good pub food and at a very reasonable price. A selection of ales on tap what more do you want. It's a relaxed pub kids are welcome and feel comfortable.

We called in at The Festival Inn for lunch. Service was slow and the food was not very good at all. Not far from our table was a gentleman using a computer and was testing two female members of staff. He liked the sound of his own loud voice and kept telling the staff members the answers to all his... More

We stopped in desperation after a long walk. It didn't look very promising, a huge 1950s or 60s pub, rather run down and looking ripe for sale and redevelopment. The menu was typical of a big chain, in this case Greene-King. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The real ale was in first class condition. Our lunch was... More

We went to the festival a lot when we were younger and decided to go for tea after a long drive home from our holiday. We were very disappointed and will not go for food again. There is not much choice on the menu for vegetarians. The food was not good. The quorn chilli, had no quorn in it. The... More

Good food, good beer and not far from the Travel Lodge at Trowell services. If you're doing a long journey and looking for somewhere close to the services for food then it can't be beaten.

Have been here several times and each time the food has been good value for money. The place its self is still dark drab and well, well over due for some TLC. We ordered a surf and turf and a rump steak both with salad no chips. For the few people in there we thought we waited too long. The... More

Went for a family meal yesterday evening to this pleasant pub. The service from Jamie was excellent. The food was very nice.
