enjoyed a decent enough Sunday roast in the sunny conservatory. Friendly service but the pub is more than a bit rough round the edges. Was hoping to have found somewhere local to return regularly but other than the free cheese and nuts on the bar,which...More

We were a large party of 8 adults and 3 toddlers. When we arrived we had a welcoming environment and friendly staff, the chef even came out and said hello. We placed our food order. We ordered 3 of their "specials" of bbq chicken melt...More

I highly recommend this pub for great atmosphere and extremely tasty food. Portion sizes are big and well cooked. It wasn't necessary for us but I noticed the do gluten free beer too!! I wish we had time to return and definitely will another time.

Recommended by our caravan park host. Lovel y little pub. I had the whitebait as starter and ham and eggs for main. We shared the whitebait. My husband had sausage and mash. Both delicious. Nice range of real ales. A friendly welcome. Would recommend

If you want to visit a 'proper pub' with a friendly, warm atmosphere then call in here. The large open fire welcomes you, and beer prices are good.

Although only a small pub the chef was very helpful as his wife was a coeliac, I had the most amazing ploughmans lunch with garlic bread, it was huge. Another visit I had a very large roast dinner, looking forward to return visit July 17

Lovely pub. Visited twice whilst I was in the Isle of Wight. Food was gorgeous and staff went out of their way to accommodate. Had a good pool table which the kids played on whilst we sat by the fire to warm up.

Sunday lunch with friends was hit and miss. Good company, good beer, lovely selection of free cheese and biscuit's on the bar, but another change of chef left me disappointed. Young and enthusiastic yet lacking basic skills made this a disappointing meal. Cold plates, some...More
