Dropped in early on Sunday, on our way to Well's cathedral. Friendly welcome, and cheerful singing in the kitchen. Good service, home made scones and jam- lovely! On the flat, good access to toilet. Tea garden at the back which I imagine is busy in the summer! Open 7 days a week, and can be booked for family parties etc... More

Wedmore is one of those tucked away places that hardly anyone knows about but is the face of England that we can all be proud of. Nanny Ida's is typically understated but serves the most delicious cream teas imaginable with real china crockery in a quiet sunny garden. Bliss.

Wedmore is a quite charming village in deepest Somerset and this delightful tea room epitomised all that's good about England.Excellent food and coffee and well worth a visit.

My husband, Dad and I called in for a cup of tea and ended up having a snack. I had cheesy chips, absolutely gorgeous! The others both had soup which they said was delicious. It was a lovely day so we sat out in the garden. Fantastic! The two lads who served us were polite, helpful, with a sense of... More

Thankfully to my friend Rob I visited with other friends for a Sunday roast this lovely place. The pork was so soft and juicy, plenty of gravy crunch potatos, vegetables .. very tasty food. People as well so wellcome. Our dogs could peacefully sleep under table and my baby got even toys to play.

Thank you for another lovely meal. We have been three times now. We look forward to coming for some nice home made cooked food after looking after a large group of 7-10 year olds. Today I had the lasagne, its was fabulous. See you next year :)

We stumbled across nanny ida by accident for a quick cream tea but stayed for hours. The family who run this restaurant are so friendly and welcoming you don't want to leave. The homemade scones were wonderful. We are returning today for a Sunday lunch and will become regular visitors.

Cooked to order food is always hot and the menu varied, homemade pies really enjoyable and with a pleasant garden the atmosphere is relaxed. Cream teas and other food is sensibly priced

Thank John G
