Number Sixteen is now open in the evening, after a long delay due to lockdown. We went to the opening night, last night, and were very pleased with events. Firstly, the capacity is limited to 16 to allow social separation, and we felt perfecly safe. The ambiance is very friendly, with Chris' enthusiasm being very evident. Service is great, being fairly informal yet efficient. The food is very good, with a menu that is long enough to give all eaters a good choise, including gluten and dairy free if wanted as well as vegitarian. The wine list is fairly limited but gives very good value. All in all great place to eat out! So far, opening is limited to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and with the limited capacity I would recommend booking.

Me and my friend popped in last Saturday for a coffee, which was really nice because I am very picky when it comes to cappuccino. My friend had blueberry sponge cake and I had bubble and squeak, which was absolutely gorgeous, the presentation was beautiful and it was absolutely delicious, I even told the two ladies at the next table about it and they ordered it. Staff are very friendly, and the surroundings are very pleasant. Can't fault the place and next time I am in that direction I will definately go back.

My friend was served a milkshake with a lipstick mark on and I was given half a cup of tea and then later a small amount of hot water. My friends milkshake was replaced but was not a full glass and the tea was then stewed. Considering covid risk it was particularly poor to see a dirty glass. There wasn't much of an apology or offer of refund and we were charged fully.

We visited the wonderful market town of Bingham visiting family for a fortnight in the vale of belvoir. Number sixteen has A beautiful menu (on the pricey side) but no obvious local offer, the room we stayed in overlooked the square and I would see a daily delivery from pilgrim wholesale, I would expect to see local and seasonal dishes on an upmarket bistro menu of this type and for these prices but there was none, being in the vale of belvoir surrounded by grass fed animals and farm land please use local like your neighbours. The young girl who served us twice was brilliant, the manager on both occasions seemed to have a quite a dour face and was very demanding stood at his podium on the square, loved the Italian marketplace feel but the lack of smiles from the manager, high prices, and lack of local menu options stopped it being the 5 stars it could be for the prices charged.

Came with my family for a bit of lunch and a drink. Wasn’t particularly busy but was waiting 20 minutes to be given a menu. I went in and asked several times to order and was told to wait at my table. Staff are lovely but seems to me there is major lack of communication. My grandad waited 15 for salt for his food which got cold by the time he recurved it. From a place with such raving reviews I expected better.

We had stayed overnight locally assuming we had breakfast included, but apparently they don't do breakfast mid-week! So we wandered into Bingham's small market town and perused the different eating places open at that time. Luckily we found Number Sixteen! Bright, well lit, well designed, with appropriate pictures on the wall and colours that really worked (teal and mustard who knew! Gorgeous!) Hubby was really looking forward to a cooked breakfast so that's what he ordered and that's what he got! More than enough to fill his hollow legs! I had sour dough toast, butter, jam and a tea. Just right. The staff where lovely, friendly, attentive and efficient. Lovely experience (made up for our disappointing hotel one! ) Highly recommend Number Sixteen.

In these times of mask wearing - connection is challenging for all. However the staff at No sixteen are helpful and engaging so that you feel welcome. Sat outside and loved our coffee and sunshine - appreciating both! The premises inside is well distanced and we’ll be back to enjoy meals whilst feeling safe too. Our favourite place

Popped in here for the first time and found it very pleasant for a cup of tea and a scone. The scone tasted and looked homemade and was served warm. It was delicious as was the jam and cream. My only real criticism and hence the 4/5 not 5/5 is that the amounts of jam and cream were vert stingy for the size of the scone. Barely enough to cover two halves and that was as a thin layer. Tasted good however. Good service too although taking the order at the table would have been nice

We decided to have breakfast here in the outside seating area, which is a lovely location. The staff are very attentive, welcoming and friendly - no complaints at all there. I ordered pancakes which arrived very quickly, but while they tasted nice enough, I honestly don't think they were freshly made. Apart from arriving much quicker than you would expect fresh pancakes to, they were identical in appearance, size and taste to the ones you might buy from Aldi. I don't think I'll go back.

The food was excellent, but the service was poor. We had booked a table for 10:30 on a sunny Saturday, but when we arrived it took 10 minutes to be seated. We then waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 15 minutes for drinks. Unfortunately, it was the same experience for other tables around us. The staff seemed flustered and confused about which tables had ordered which food and drinks. The food and drinks were delicious and there was a lot to choose from on the menu, so if you do not mind bad service then you will enjoy your meal here. Following our food, we asked for the bill as we were starting to feel dehydrated due to the hot weather, and preferred not to wait another 15 minutes for more drinks, opting to purchase drinks from a nearby shop after leaving. 15 minutes later, the bill had not arrived, we asked the waiter again who apologised as he had forgotten. He did bring the bill immediately at that point and took payment. We were really disappointed with our experience, especially as others had reviewed this cafe so highly and it seems to be very popular. There are other cafes in Bingham with the same quality food and drinks with considerably better service, so we will likely opt to return to those in future.

Some time ago my wife and I enjoyed a first class meal here with first class service. This week we returned. After a short wait we were shown to our table and after a longer wait were given menus. Having made our choices we waited whilst the waitress had a social meeting with a group of girls at the next table, eventually taking their orders and having more social chat. A while later she came to us to say she would be 'just a minute'. She then went to serve someone at an outside table which was odd because they were all empty when we arrived. After another long wait we put our coats on and walked out. The girl watched us go but made no attempt to ask us why. It is a fine line between being social with friends and being efficient at a job, it would seem she has not yet found this line. To the detriment of the business.

Called in twice on my visit to Bingham. Once was for lunch and the other for breakfast. Made welcome on my arrival. Good choice on the menu. The food is freshly cooked and well presented on the plate. Had the burger and lunch time and full English with the optional extras. There is a short wait whilst you receive your food, but this is worth it considering the food is freshly cooked. Good quality food is used too.

We recently held my husband's birthday party here and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Chris was super helpful from the outset with the organisation and planning which took away so much of the stress. His communication and advice was invaluable. The menus offered were fab and offered lots of choice. I did not need to think about additional decor since the venue which is recently refurbished is beautiful. On the evening itself Chris, Megan and team took great care of us all. It was a fine evening so we had drinks outside, the buffet looked amazing and the food itself was delicious (we had so many comments from people saying how much they enjoyed it). Plenty of space for those that wanted to dance and before we knew it the evening was over. I would thoroughly recommend Number Sixteen if you are looking for a party venue!

We went to Number 16 for brunch the day after my sons wedding. We were all a bit hungover and tired so needed some much needed TLC and sustenance. The menu covered everything we could have wanted but being awkward we still asked for a few variations to what was on the actual menu. The staff not only agreed to the additions but rather than just dumping them on the side of the plate, as so many places do, they actually properly incorporated them into the meal. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Should we ever go back to Bingham we will happily visit this cafe again.
