This was our second visit to the Buttercross and again we wasn’t disappointed. The service, staff, food and drink were delightful. Would of like to have seen and spoke to the lovely southern lady we met on our last visit before Christmas again, but she...More

The Butter Cross is a nice pub with a decent exterior and interior that offers a good range of cheap drinks. The pub is located on the main market square in town and the service we had was fast. Not a must visit but a...More

Popped in to sample the traditional breakfast which is great value at £3.95. Pub is one of the nicest in the chain and is clean and spacious. Was busy but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Was worth the wait -...More

It is a cheap place to eat. Use the App and food arrives as expected. Cheap and cheerful and staff are pleasant enough. Usually eat with family and haven't had any problems.

Staff more interested in talking with their friends who are seated at a table - they then began acting like the children they are, throwing around a tea-towel! Food was okay. Tables dirty and not cleaned before our meals arrived. Then, during our meal, male...More

The place was smelly, dirty, menus stuck together, tables not cleaned, rough. Puts people off going. Even the decor is dated.

Dirty tables, menus stuck together with dried food and drink, the far end of the pub is always filthy and the whole place is rundown, dirty and depressing. I only come here because my kids like it! Food is hit and miss. Cheap as chips...More
