The beer is excellent as well as the atmosphere. Good service and great location, in the heart of Aylesbury's town centre. Especially nice during summer, sitting outside.

What an unfriendly pub! Unwelcoming, don't want people entering their premises! The place was empty when I entered, I wasn't welcome not being a local, and I was made to wait for the pleasure of getting served a drink from them.

My wife, mum and two children aged 13 and 10 stopped in this pub for lunch one day in the May half term. We were greeted at the bar by the stony faced, grump gentlemen who seemed to be determined to make us feel unwelcome. No hint of a smile, not even a polite twitching of the lips. Not a... More

if this place is attractive on a blowy winters day then it will be lovely in the summer and the same could be said of Haddenham as a town which is uniquely historic and worth a visit. I'm not sure if the couple who run this bar/restaurant at the moment, as of today Monday, 1 February 2016, are the managers... More

A very nice pub in the centre of the village, still going very strong indeed it seems. The newspapers and Sky are there and there is very good service. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hearty meal. Also FANTASTIC value...

It's no secret that pubs struggle these days and try to be all things to everyone; often falling between two bar stools in doing so. I'm pleased to say this place still has identity and character, and moreover the beer and meals are impressive. Do support it and you will not be disappointed.

Had lunch here twice and food was good each time. Nice atmosphere and reasonable price. Not much choice of places to eat at lunch time in Haddenham so quite acceptable.

Huge portions of good pub food. Arrived at 5:15pm but kitchen doesn't open until 6pm, so we hung about for a bit. When we ordered, fish cakes were lovely, as was scampi and chilli con carne. Food was really lovely quality and tasted fresh. It was a hot day and although we started off in the beer garden, we had... More
