About
The Hole in the Wall is a 15th century, Grade II, listed public house with a mid-17th century addition to the west gable end. If you’re wondering who christened the Hole in the Wall, the name was acquired by the pub actually having a hole in the wall. Exhausted farmers and workers would grab their real ales through the hole in the wall, and then stumble their way home. Although this fabled hole was filled many, many years ago, you’ll be pleased to know that we still serve reinvigorating, gastro quality food and drink we just prefer to let one of our friendly servers to deliver it to you, at your table. We have exquisite guests bedroom for your stay in a perfect country side location if you are

We had a wedding near by and found this little gem of a place to stay for two nights bed and breakfast. From start to finish our stay was excellent, food was outstanding and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, they were friendly and...welcoming and nothing was too much. We would definitely be stay here again if we happen to be nearby. Might even treat ourselves to another weekend away just for the experience, would definitely recommendMore

Sunday lunch here today. Was busy but our orders were taken promptly, and the service was good. Roast dinner choice of three meats or all three if you want that option. Nice touch that all came with Yorkshire and cauliflower cheese. Only two roast potatoes...is something I never understand, as this is the best part of a roast, but the option of extra as a side is available. It was nice and always a treat to have a roast cooked for you and the puddings were twists on classics. Not super outstanding in my view, but I've been before and will no doubt go again!More

Lovely old pub with two rooms for overnight stays. We chose the studio with the big roll top bath, very big space with original beams, floors and comfy bed. What makes this place so good is the excellent food that head chef Trifun serves up,...absolutely delicious I had the lamb curry and my wife had a vegan risotto both superb. Run by very friendly and welcoming people.More

We reserved a table at The Hole In The Wall to celebrate my wife's birthday and what a delightful experience it was, from the greeting when we arrived to our farewell at the end of the evening. The staff were charming and attentive creating a...wonderful environment for a most enjoyable evening. On top of this the food was top notch and wonderfully presented. For those who like a true authentic curry and not BIR style served up in Indian restaurants try the lamb Rajesthani it is fantastic, I going back for curry night they have on Wednesdays to sample more dishes. Thankyou all for a really enjoyable evening and look forward to seeing you again soon. MikeMore

We had been meaning to try The Hole in The Wall for a long time as heard good things about it. We then wanted a roast on Sunday so tried to see if there was availabilty and they managed to squeeze us in which was...appreciated. We turned up to find a warm and friendly waiter at the door. He showed us to our table and was very pleasant, we quickly chose on some starters and mains (pushing the boat out knowing we would almost definitely have puddings). The starter arrived and all I can say is wow, was very tasty and presented in a very elegant way. Then the mains arrived and I decided on the three meat roast, well let’s just say the meat sweats started but managed to eat it all and was amazing, gravy was definitely up there with some of the best. We then managed to squeeze in a pudding which finished off the meal perfectly. Our daughter even got her name written on her plate which was a lovely touch. Couldn’t fault the service by Carrick and the chef Ulhas cooked up a feast. 5 starts from us! We will be sure to be back very soon!More
