Called out to The Vines in Garvagh to recharge our batteries before the festive frenzy of activities take off. The warm cosy interior enveloped us like a hug from a long-lost friend and the easy ambience and background lullaby soon had us relaxed and mellow. The menu offered everything from mum's good old homemade Irish cooking to the more adventurous... More

Dropped in on a Friday night without booking and although restaurant was very busy we were given a table quickly. Served by friendly, courteous staff and even the owner came over and introduced herself and had a chat. The food was fantastic and ample portions. Would definitely recommend the steaks. Will return if ever in Garvagh again. Many thanks

Went here recently for dinner as we were looking to try a new place. We will definatly be back again. All the food we had from starter to desert was excellent! Portion sizes were large which pleased my other half. Waitresses were friendly and seemed to be enjoying their work. A great place for an indulgent feed with quality food.

Called in here during the summer holidays had been to see the Dark Hedges and stopped here. The girl that served us was a lovely girl she was very attentive and chatty. She told us her granny and granda owned the place. Food is really nice and so reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

The Vines is a relaxing restaurant where you can choose between open tables or alcoves that are snug but not cut off by any means. Service is quick and efficient and the waitresses are most pleasant, call back to see that everything is OK. I choose sirloin steak because it was modestly priced at £14.95 which included a choice of... More

Just back from Sunday lunch. The young waitress needs to have better service Wine arrived at edge of table not opened, not offered to pour. I know a minor detail. The meal took ages to arrive. No update or apologies. When the meal arrived it was wrong. Another ten minute wait. This also meant that certain items on plate were... More

We stopped off here on our way through to the coast. An unplanned stop and we were not disappointed. Delicious home cooked fresh food, excellent children's menu also. Great value, great service! Would highly recommend to anyone. Do not be put off but dull colours on the exterior, the inside is lovely, clean and staff friendly. Toilets are clean too... More

I discovered this restaurant on a day out with my wife. We were tired and hungry and decided to stop in Garvagh as we could not drive another mile. My wife spotted this restaurant on the far side of the street so we thought we would give it a chance. As we entered we were approached by a lovely girl... More
