Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed over after turning up (pre booked)at 5.10pm no one there to greet us( other people there too waiting )he turned up 45 minutes later having been shopping, no apology what so ever...had steak €37 each Inc potatoes and a "salad" to share! lettuce leaves only ! Disgusting need I say more see pics...the older lady who served was so rude and miserable! The fries came 5 minutes after the steak leaving it cold..We were so looking forward to this meal after reading the reviews

The last time we stayed here we couldn't eat dinner because we were recovering from a very bad meal the previous night in Spain. So this was greatly looked forward to and we were not disappointed. An amuse bouche of freshly made little cheese straws came with a house Bordeaux to start the meal. There were other people in the dining room and we were given a basket of homemade bread and lovely large napkins and chose the menu saveur. We both began with crispy onion tartlets each with their own sidesalad. Perfect sweet onion cut horizontally made them a visual pleasure too.I removed the raisins from mine as I found the onion had plenty of it's own sweetness but my husband enjoyed his.For our main courses we were offered duck breast in addition to the advertised choices. It was served to me with a dark wine, and maybe fruit, jus and was utterly delicious.Cut into medallions it was tender and moist with a crispy skin.Text book classic cooking I think and the best I have eaten for years. My husband had the onglet de boeuf in a rich wine gravy which he found excellent. We shared a roasting dish of pommes dauphinoise and another of spinach, both perfect. My husband had a classic creme brulee with cracking top and I had the profiteroles because it is a quintessential French dessert and when in France...My eyes were bigger than my tummy of course,it was too much for me so my husband finished it,especially the rich chocolate sauce. YES WE WILL RETURN! We also stayed the night which I would advise to any one if they want to relax and enjoy their wine,it was clean and warm and oh so quiet and the birdies sang to us in the morning. The outside eating area looks like an impressionist painting. This is the kind of place that seems to tell you a story about vanishing France and it's lost restaurants. Thank you again to chef Vincent and lovely little Lugos.

We have been looking for a hotel which has good food and takes dogs and is located south of Bordeaux - at last we have found one. Not far off the motorway the Auberge de Lugos combines the traditional hospitality of an inn with a restaurant worthy of a return visit. The room was clean with modern decor and a comfy bed. Breakfast served in the bar included fresh juice, jams and charcuterie. There was locally baked bread in addition to croissant and pan au chocolate. Coffee was of good quality so the breakfast was well worth taking. Our evening meal was the more expensive menu which was good value. The food was freshly prepared and nicely presented.Staff were attentive, cheerful and knew their jobs. Our elderly dog enjoyed the walk along the quiet road next to the hotel. Unfortunately at 16 years old he found the steep stairs difficult. Hopefully he will be fit enough to make a return visit next year.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was a delight, lovingly prepared and the taste of everything was delicious. We asked for advice on wine to have with the meal and it paired to perfection. Relaxed beautiful location and the meal was in my top 5 of meals that I have had ever had in my 60 + years Thank you.

Delicious meal: hot oysters and asparagus, sweetbreads and choice of side dish, fruit salad and sorbet. A pleasure for the taste buds in a neat decor.

We had a great time, the terrace is very nice, shaded by three magnificent plane trees And in terms of cuisine, nothing to complain about, the menu at 27.90 is unbeatable value for money, I had the cod mouclade which was really excellent I recommend without hesitation
